GroupStitch Acquires Sales and English Language Remake Rights to ‘The Summer Will End’

GroupStitch has fallen for The Summer Will End.

Nick Isaak’s distribution and content consultancy company, which he founded, has announced that it has secured global rights (excluding Russia) along with the English language remake rights for the crime thriller featuring Yura Borisov, who gained recognition as the breakout star and received a nomination for best supporting actor in Anora.

Titled “The Summer Will End“, this movie is directed by Maksim Arbugaev and Vladimir Munkuev (who also wrote the script). The story unfolds in a secluded northern town, where two brothers find themselves on the run after one of them pilfers gold from a local crime organization. As they race to evade their past, the narrative takes a tense turn, sparking a series of brutal events. Borisov and Makar Khlebnikov share the lead roles as the brothers, while Dmitriy Podnozov, Aleksandr Mosin, Makar Khlebnikov, Vasiliy Shchipitsyn, Ivan Tarabukin, Batma Imanakunova, and Denis Kuznetsov complete the talented cast.

The movie titled “The Summer Will End” was brought to life by a team consisting of Valery Fedorovich, Evgeny Nikishov, Alexandr Plotnikov, Boris Khlebnikov, Maksim Filatov, and Igor Mishin. This production premiered in theaters across Russia on February 27th.

Isaac, having worked at Gravitas Ventures, MGM Studios, and Amazon in executive roles, is currently actively looking for distribution partners for both domestic and foreign markets, as well as development partners for a potential remake project.
