Message from Scott: It’s time! Here’s my initial attempt at predicting the winners for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. The nominations are for shows that aired between June 1, 2024 and May 31, 2025.
Currently, I’m dealing with 26 different genres, which include various types of shows (like drama series, comedy series, limited/anthology series, TV movies, talk series, scripted variety series, pre-recorded variety specials, documentaries or nonfiction series, and documentary or nonfiction specials) as well as performances in these genres (leading roles, supporting roles, and guest appearances in dramas, comedies, and limited/anthology series or TV movies). More categories will be added soon as they become more defined.
As a dedicated fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming events in the world of television. Many of the front-runners are yet to release their episodes, while the major streaming platforms are still gearing up for their promotional campaigns. The nomination voting period is set from June 12 to June 23, with the results being announced on July 15. The final round of voting will take place from August 18 to August 27. The Emmys in most categories will be awarded at one of the two Creative Arts Awards ceremonies on September 6 and 7. However, the most prestigious accolades will be bestowed during the Primetime Emmys ceremony, which will air on CBS on September 14 and will be hosted by the talented stand-up comedian, Nate Bargatze. I can’t wait to see who takes home the coveted Emmy statuettes!
As a gamer, I’m like a weather forecaster, trying my best to accurately predict the outcomes rather than dictate what I think should happen. My choices are based on watching shows, gathering opinions from viewers, scrutinizing campaigns, and examining the results of previous award seasons.
