Brie Larson, much like myself, is a music enthusiast, and whenever she embarks on a major tour, I eagerly anticipate following her journey on social media. (Admittedly, there might be a touch of parasocial interaction involved in our relationship, but isn’t that common?) This week, the actress from Captain Marvel attended Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour at Los Angeles’s SoFi Stadium, and I adore each photo and video she shared capturing the experience.

Brie Larson Was Living Her Best Life At Beyoncé’s Concert

Beyoncé is playing five nights at the venue, and Brie Larson caught the second evening on Thursday, May 1 after previously saying her “dreams” came true when she saw Beyoncé at the same venue for her Renaissance tour, and partying it up at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, too. Brie Larson attended the Cowboy Carter concert in an adorable plaid twin set, complete with a cowboy hat and denim jacket sporting cow-patterned text. She perfectly fit the event’s theme. Accompanied by two friends, she ran into Renée Rapp at the show, who too donned a cowboy hat for the occasion.

Recently, I’ve been treading the boards at the West End with a production called “Elektra,” which unfortunately wrapped up its run. I had high hopes of seeing Brie Larson rejoin the stellar cast of “Avengers: Doomsday.” However, I’ve got an intriguing theory about how Captain Marvel might make her comeback on the big screen instead.

But, I Especially Relate To Her Reaction To A Surprise Song Beyoncé Sang At The Show

Among all the action in the photo collection, what stood out most to me was Brie Larson’s response upon witnessing “If I Were A Boy” being played live at the concert. If you had glanced at Cowboy Carter’s setlist from the previous evening, you would have known that Beyoncé didn’t perform it during her first night, making the rendition of this 2008 classic an exciting surprise.

The tune was released during the launch of the album “I Am… Sasha Fierce,” coinciding with Beyoncé’s appearance on Saturday Night Live for the popular “Single Ladies” skit. “If I Were A Boy” is one of those impactful Beyoncé songs that resonated deeply with women upon its debut, as it addresses gender disparities. It’s a powerful and emotional track, and it’s heartwarming to see Larson moved by witnessing the music icon perform it live.

Apart from including “If I Were A Boy” in her second concert tour performance, she also incorporated other popular tracks such as “Irreplaceable,” “Single Ladies,” and “Love On Top” into a single medley. Although Brie Larson recalls witnessing Beyoncé perform these songs live, I’ll likely be content with watching Beyoncé performances like last year’s Beyoncé Bowl via my Netflix subscription instead.
