Hollywood Stars Warn Trump Will Destroy the World—Are They Right?

The era of the movie star ended some time ago, assuming your last name isn’t Cruise.

More recently, Americans began tuning out their celebrity betters on the political front.

2024’s election featured numerous prominent figures endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris, with celebrities like Zachary Levi and Hulk Hogan supporting Donald Trump for every one. However, many top-tier stars backed a candidate reluctant to engage in conversations with Joe Rogan.

Despite being lost in the election, the salad spinner (symbolizing a non-political item) still succumbed to President Donald Trump. Even progressive media sources admitted that celebrity endorsements hold minimal influence during the Trump era.

Currently, several prominent figures in the entertainment industry are expressing concern that, if left unchecked, President Trump could potentially bring harm, not just to the nation, but also to our planet.

Is anyone listening? Or caring?

Pre-Election Day, Robert De Niro suggested that Trump might bring about global destruction, but saw no tangible results from this statement. More recently, George Clooney found it necessary to restrain Patti LuPone from expressing doubts about the nation’s survival if Trump were re-elected.

Clooney, ever the patriot*, told the Broadway star to hold out hope.

Rosie O’Donnell is rightfully recognized for aligning her actions with her words regarding Trump. She chose to move to Ireland, a location known for its history of antisemitism, as her new residence. The 62-year-old has continued to voice her opposition to Trump, predicting that his tariffs would have catastrophic global consequences.

Actor Joe Pantoliano, known for his role in “The Sopranos,” recently commented that the world is ablaze, attributing this state to President Trump. However, he did not provide concrete examples or clarify how Trump’s presidency might be connected to the Ukraine conflict, the events of October 7, or the escalation of violence in academia during the Biden years.

Pantoliano even said he’s mulling an O’Donnell-like move to Portugal to escape America under Trump.

Now, it’s Sean Penn’s turn.

The left-leaning actor likened Trump to a husband who murders his ex-wife after their separation. He didn’t hold back, going on to make further comparisons.

Trump’s self-centered view of the world, which he seems to share, could be leading to the devastation we see today – this destruction serves partly as a display of power and also a potential swan song from him. I suspect he may strive to leave such a catastrophic impact on the planet before his own life comes to an end.

During the 2028 presidential race, Hollywood celebrities are expected to make a strong appearance once more. However, when they appeal to American voters, let’s recall that they had foretold doom during Trump’s term… but no such catastrophe materialized.
