Reece Feldman, the well-known creator who gained popularity on TikTok and Instagram (with close to 3 million followers) under his Guy With a Movie Camera accounts, is widely recognized for his affection for movies and TV shows. It was only natural that he would eventually embody his online persona and take up a camera to direct his debut project.
Feldman crafted and managed a short movie titled “Wait, Your Car?“, featuring Whitney Peak (known for her role in Gossip Girl), Ruby Cruz (from Bottoms), Minnie Mills (star of The Summer I Turned Pretty) and Noa Fisher (actress in Uncut Gems). The story revolves around four friends whose bond is strained when one suspects her car is attempting to harm her literally. This production was brought to life by Roger Mancusi’s Fair Oaks Entertainment, along with Timothy Mendonça and Danielle Kampf.
Exciting developments are underway for “Wait, Your Car?“, set to make its global debut in Cannes, France on May 17, coinciding with the Cannes Film Festival. Although it’s not an official festival selection, Feldman’s short film will be officially presented at a special TikTok-hosted event. The social media platform has played a significant role in boosting Feldman’s online career.
Feldman initially gained experience in the entertainment industry by working as a production assistant on Amazon’s acclaimed series, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” His role involved capturing backstage footage of the show. Subsequently, he leveraged his skills to secure positions at leading studios and streaming platforms for events such as premieres, interviews (junkets), and promotional photo shoots. He also covered significant award ceremonies like the Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and Met Gala. Notably, he has interviewed filmmakers like Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Rian Johnson, James Cameron, Hans Zimmer, Ben Stiller, among others.
