Nobody 2: Bob Odenkirk’s Family Vacation Goes Off the Rails in Action Sequel (WATCH)

Initially, the world of action movies introduced the character of Hutch “Nobody” Mansell in the 2021 film titled “Nobody“. This production was penned by Derek Kolstad and helmed by Ilya Naishuller. Upon our first encounter, it appears that Hutch leads a routine life, spending his days at work, maintaining his lawn, and generally staying out of trouble. However, his proficiency in solitude has led to his family growing apart from him.

Subsequently, a burglary propels Hutch into a convoluted journey through the dark world of organized crime. Interestingly, Hutch was once an “auditor,” a hitman employed by U.S. intelligence agencies in the past. He relies on his past abilities to survive and triumph, but the film concludes with suggestions of further complications looming ahead.

Four years later, new trouble has arrived in the first trailer for Nobody 2.

In the sequel, Nobody 2, Bob Odenkirk reprises his role as Hutch Mansell, a family man who also happens to be a professional assassin in suburbia. The story resumes four years later, with Hutch once again finding himself embroiled in dangerous situations. He’s deeply in debt to some unsavory characters, and the only way he sees to clear his debt is by executing a series of assassinations across the globe.

In an unusual line of work, he’s been away from his family for many months now, causing a strain in their relationship. His absence has made him miss out on his children’s sports games and other crucial events. As the summer season approaches, Hutch decides to swap his professional attire and weapons for casual beachwear. Accompanied by his wife Becca (Emmy-nominated actress Connie Nielsen) and their kids (Gage Munroe and Paisley Cadorath), they embark on a family trip to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark – a place where Hutch once vacationed with his brother.

Indeed, the peaceful family holiday takes an unexpected turn into chaos as Hutch unwittingly becomes the target of a relentless criminal mastermind, portrayed by the esteemed and award-winning actress Sharon Stone. It turns out that their holiday destination is nestled within the heart of an illicit alcohol ring, teeming with corrupt officers and the most ruthless crime lord Hutch has ever encountered. Regardless of his efforts, Hutch seems to be stuck in a never-ending cycle of misfortune.

Nobody 2 hits theaters everywhere summer 2025

The film titled “Nobody 2” is helmed by director Timo Tjahjanto, known for “The Night Comes for Us” and “The Big 4”. The script was penned by Derek Kolstad, famous for his work on “John Wick” and “Die Hart”, along with Aaron Rabin of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” fame. The storyline and characters were originally conceived by Derek Kolstad.

On August 15, 2025, “Nobody 2” will debut in cinemas nationwide. Later, the movie will be available for streaming exclusively on Peacock after its theatrical release.
