‘Mumbai bula ke bech diya to’: Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 child actor Siddharth Nigam reveals why he was scared to debut in YRF actioner

Actor Siddharth Nigam, famous for his part in Hai Junoon, has recently talked about his audition process for Dhoom 3. He reminisced about the moment when he got invited to test for the movie, where he played a younger version of Aamir Khan’s character. At first, Siddharth believed that the casting call was a prank and worried “Mumbai called and sold off to me” since he wasn’t familiar with Yash Raj Films at the time.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Siddharth Nigam shared that, at first, he was unacquainted with Bollywood. When Yash Raj Films and Shanoo ma’am reached out, he and his family felt apprehensive and unsure about their next steps since they had no connections in Mumbai.

Initially, there was a doubt in his mind if the call was a hoax. As a dedicated fan of Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India, he harbored concerns that they might be tricked into going to Mumbai and taken advantage of. He confessed that back then, he had no clue about Yash Raj Films or who Shanoo ma’am was.

Siddharth shared that ultimately, he had his brother investigate Yash Raj Films and Shanoo Sharma to understand the significance of the opportunity at hand. Once they verified its authenticity, everything took a turn for the better for them. He expressed his appreciation for the welcoming environment he encountered within the industry, particularly from Yash Raj Films, stating that he would forever be grateful.

2025 finds Siddharth Nigam as a central figure in the series “Hai Junoon”, where the story unfolds around an energetic dance troupe squaring off against their college’s prestigious vocal ensemble, a choir. In this production, Siddharth takes on the role of Vikram, a budding singer grappling with self-doubt and aspirations, mentored by Neil Nitin Mukesh’s character.

Siddharth mentioned that he identifies with Vikram’s adventure, likening him to an individual chasing dreams while unsure about where he belongs, mirroring the situation of numerous outsiders. Although he started in the industry years ago, Siddharth stated that he continues to grow and uncover his unique voice.

Additionally, he shared that working with Hai Junoon reminded him of his simple roots in Prayagraj, where he used to be a gymnast, oblivious to the world of entertainment that lay before him.

He remembered growing up in humble circumstances, where his mom managed a tiny hair salon. While he doesn’t see himself as someone who faced major hardships, he acknowledges that early chances played a significant role in his life. However, he had to find his way and map out his own path.
