‘Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ Finds Its Louella and Lou Lou (Exclusive)

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has cast a pair of pivotal roles.

In an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter, it’s been revealed that Molly McCann will take on the role of Louella, while Iona Bell has been cast as her Capitol-assigned doppelganger, Lou Lou, in the upcoming Lionsgate film titled “The Hollywood Reporter“. Directed by Francis Lawrence, this movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ popular novel is scheduled for release in theaters on November 20, 2026.

The following actors were earlier announced to be part of the cast: Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor and Ben Wang. THR revealed last week that Ralph Fiennes will portray the malevolent President Snow.

Lawrence directs the film based on a screenplay by Billy Ray, who adapted Collins’ novel. Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson serve as producers under Color Force, with Cameron MacConomy acting as executive producer.

In the novel “Sunrise on the Reaping,” readers are transported back to Panem on the day of the 50th Hunger Games, which unfold 24 years before the storyline begins in the first book of the series, “The Hunger Games,” originally published in 2008.

The first five movies from this franchise, including the one released in 2012 titled “The Hunger Games“, have collectively grossed over $3.3 billion at worldwide cinemas. Actress Jennifer Lawrence portrayed Katniss Everdeen in the initial four films.
