Later, Letterman inquired if it is customary for children in India to live with their parents. With a charming grin, she humorously replied, “It’s perfectly acceptable to live with your parents because in India, there’s no need for scheduled appointments to dine together.

Aishwarya, who was engrossed in promoting her film “Bride and Prejudice: The Bollywood Musical” at the time, was also questioned as to why musicals are so popular in India but not in America. The actress responded by stating that it’s a movie format that has deep roots in Indian culture, having been around for quite some time.

She stated that this is something deeply rooted in our upbringing, and it’s adored by many. Furthermore, she noted that it mirrors Indian culture as well, given that India has music for all its festivals, occasions, and weddings.
