Albion Online’s Abyssal Depth update launches at the end of next month

  • Albion Online’s latest major update, Abyssal Depths, is coming June 30th
  • Jump into the new Abyssal Dungeons and take on an extraction dungeon crawler mode
  • There are also quality-of-life tweaks and other improvements to the tutorial experience

It appears that the dungeon extraction genre has become deeply ingrained in the thoughts of both players and creators. For evidence, consider Albion Online, which will offer a similar experience with its Abyssal Depths update set for release on June 30th.

In these recently introduced Abyssal Dungeons, you gain access through the Antiquarian’s Den. Here, groups consisting of two to three players engage in a PvP-centric adventure. As you delve into these depths, you will encounter and either avoid or defeat a mix of creatures residing within regions such as Caerleon. The objective is to navigate through the area before it collapses upon itself, escaping just in time.

If it seems like you’ve heard this before, it’s because this fundamental extraction method is one that Dark and Darker initially developed and has since gained significant popularity. However, Abyssal Dungeons are merely a portion of an extensive update aimed at enhancing the overall experience for newcomers to Albion Online, offering a refreshed perspective on the game world.

Welcome

Instead of having a separate post-tutorial experience, it will now be merged into the current Albion Journal, aiming to assist novice players in navigating the initial phases of Albion Online more smoothly and quickly acclimate to the game.

The Deep Abyss is set to introduce several assorted enhancements, including user interface refinements, extra tutorial options, and general usability upgrades. Stay informed about these changes by following a sequence of developer discussions, with the initial talk available above, detailing all the fresh features arriving on June 30th!
