Now, Priyadarshan, the director, has disclosed Akshay’s reaction to Paresh’s decision, and it’s bound to surprise you.

In a recent conversation with Mid-Day, filmmaker Priyadarshan voiced his surprise and disappointment over Paresh Rawal’s departure from Hera Pheri 3. He stated that Rawal failed to personally inform anyone before discussing the matter in the media, and instead could have reached out to him directly first. Recalling their long-standing friendship and recent collaboration on Bhooth Bangla alongside Akshay Kumar, he expressed his regret over this turn of events.

Priyadarshan shared that he received a message from Paresh following his announcement. The message read: “Dear Priyan Sir, I hold no grudge towards you and harbor great respect for you. However, I have my personal reasons for choosing not to be part of the film.

The filmmaker clarified that he didn’t intervene when Paresh decided to leave, as he hadn’t been informed beforehand. He recounted trying to contact the actor, only to receive a text stating, “Please, don’t call me. This is my choice and it doesn’t involve you.” However, Priyadarshan mentioned that Paresh expressed interest in collaborating with him again in the future.

Priyadarshan shared some interesting news about the film. He revealed that contracts for the movie have already been finalized, and recently, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal filmed a scene together with the IPL teaser. The director announced they’d collectively decided to produce Hera Pheri 3, following which, Akshay acquired the franchise rights.

Remembering the moment when Housefull 5’s leading star, Akshay, showed signs of emotion, director Priyadarshan commented, “Akshay was visibly teary-eyed as he asked me, ‘Priyan, why is Paresh treating us like this?’ It’s unfair that Akshay endures financial losses because Paresh impulsively decided to leave the project.

Previously, it was disclosed that the film’s production with Suniel Shetty was scheduled to commence in the year 2026.
