In the game titled “Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon“, players encounter numerous foreboding elements within its Dark Fantasy environment. Among these is a vast, blood-filled lake that serves as a chilling welcome to the players upon their initial arrival in Avalon. Yet, this lake conceals an even more horrific mystery, compelling players to venture into a hidden underground lair and confront a formidable foe.
Newcomers should make sure they are well-equipped before attempting this challenging boss, as it is known to be one of the toughest foes early in the game. It might be too difficult for players who have recently arrived after the shipwreck and are only at levels 2-3. Let’s get started by discovering the hidden Blood Lake labyrinth.
Caution: This guide may reveal details about the ‘Blood Stains the Circle’ quest that have not yet been experienced. Proceed at your own risk if you wish to avoid spoilers.
How To Find Secret Blood Lake Dungeon In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon
To uncover the hidden Blood Lake Dungeon within the game, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, players must initially set off from the beach starting point. Once there, they should subtly veer to their left (as opposed to taking the other path which leads to the ‘Miner’s Tunnels’). After that, continue westward and keep an eye out for a large water body with a towering statue at its center, as this is likely to be the elusive Blood Lake.
As a fan, I’d guide you this way: Approach the statue and stroll towards the quaint shoreline, where the lake’s tranquility will soon shatter, unveiling a horrific spectacle of slaughter. Fend off the Undead hordes feasting on the cadavers, and should you possess a shovel, you can excavate a treasure chest buried nearby. For those who venture into the water and offer prayer to the statue, they’ll be granted the Blood Transfusion spell.
First, navigate through the tacky red substance by swimming over it. Afterward, dive and hide behind the statue before moving along the floor and making your way towards the ruins that showcase a tiny opening. You’ll find a door there; go through it to access the hidden dungeon. Upon entering this fresh instance, players will be given a new mission: ‘Mysteries Paint the Circle‘ (Blood Stains the Circle in your original text).
To successfully navigate this dungeon on Normal setting, players should ideally be between levels 10 and 12. If you prefer the Easy (Adventure) mode, around level 8 should suffice. Remember, difficulties higher than Normal, such as Survival or Hardcore, demand exceptional skill to overcome.
How to Beat Mallory: The Last Man

In this peculiar cave, players initially encounter Mallory who serves as an early challenge or obstacle. By interacting with him, they can conduct some investigations using their Strength or Spirituality abilities to uncover valuable information about the mysteries that lie behind the doors he is safeguarding. This interaction propels the Blood Stains the Circle quest forward. However, the encounter concludes with a confrontation, during which Mallory will forcefully challenge the players to engage in a battle – a sinister requirement for some dark ritual.
When the fight commences, position yourself near the room’s walls, lure the boss to move in a pattern around the clutter and candles that will act as a shield for his attacks. For players who prefer ranged combat, this strategy can help you easily wear down the boss. Melee players might find it more challenging, but they can adopt a similar approach by circling him and waiting for him to execute his three-swing combo, then unleashing all their power against Mallory when he’s exhausted.
After overcoming Mallory, players can search her remains to discover intriguing treasures, such as the “Parrying Sword +1,” the “Chestplate of the Final Survivor,” a “Cracked Shield +2,” and the “Visage of the Last Man.” These items are fairly good for a novice warrior embarking on their journey.
Exploring the Antechamber
Inside the dungeon lies a door, which will swing open, granting players access to an intriguing antechamber adorned with a towering tree at its center. This room holds a wealth of valuable items worth collecting, and their specifics will be discussed shortly. Remember to gather everything you find here as it will prove indispensable for your journey ahead: the upcoming challenges in this adventure.
- Go past the Three and the Withered Druid lamenting on the floor, climb the stairs, turn your attention to the Alchemy table to pick up a Soulstone and a Druid’s Wishgem, two amulets that have a lot of utility.
- Following the circular structure that surrounds the tree growing in the middle, players can also loot several useful Alchemy reagents and a book containing the recipes for potions, which include Druid’s Friend, and Bloodsucker Potion.
- Now, descend once more to the tree level and look around for the glowing ore in the center of the room. Mine it to obtain Wyrdstone, a rare component for crafting end-game items.
After completing this room, players should look for a hidden path near the base of the luminescent tree as their next step. This will lead them to an intricate labyrinth-like region, which they’ll investigate next. It is crucial for players to exercise caution within this area due to the hostile creatures that inhabit it.
To ensure they don’t lose their game progress, players should adjust the Auto Save Frequency in the Game menu. They can lower this setting to a minimum (for instance, every 3 minutes, though they can choose 1 minute for even more frequent saves). This way, if something unfortunate happens and they die during exploration, they won’t have to start over from the beginning.
How To Find Prydwen in Blood Stains The Circle
The following part of this concealed labyrinth is known as the Hall of Trials, a maze that’s under the influence of Wyrdness and teeming with undead druids and assorted monsters. Fortunately, these druids won’t be hostile unless provoked, so they’re likely to be preoccupied by the numerous creatures lurking within.
The standout among them will be the Marrowghast, capable of charging and attacking in melee or firing poisonous projectiles. Additionally, watch out for the elusive Wyrdspirits, as they’re tricky to hit. Be cautious not to find yourself overwhelmed by these creatures. The picture below offers a bird’s-eye view of the labyrinth.
As a gamer, I can’t stress enough the importance of picking up that Soulstone in the Hall of Trials and getting it charged up by taking down those pesky enemies. Once it’s all juiced up, make sure to keep it on me for when I square off against the final boss in this dungeon.
In the north-western region, you’ll find an NPC called Prydwen, who leads the druids and is essential for progress in the dungeon as he’s the one to chat with. On the opposite side, there’s a hidden chest tucked away in a corner, watched over by both a Marrowghast and a Wyrdspirit. This chest contains the valuable ‘Hexbounce Wand,’ a rare magic weapon that can deflect projectiles like arrows or spells and even send them back towards the attacker.
Once players finish their exploration, they ought to converse with Prydwen, who will disclose that the Monstrosity they’ve crafted is concealed within a locked chamber. He shall bestow upon them a seal to unlock the gemstone door imbued with blood. Prepare yourselves, as this dungeon’s authentic boss awaits: The Blood-Infused Monstrosity.
How To Beat The Blood Abomination
To proceed further in the Halls of Trials, you should open the sealed door that leads into another pool of blood. Following a brief scene, the Blood Abomination will rise from the ominous red substance. Players must now engage in a fierce battle with all their might. Here’s an efficient strategy to conquer this formidable boss:
1. Use ranged attacks initially to keep your distance and avoid taking too much damage.
2. Once you have weakened it, switch to melee attacks for more effective damage.
3. Watch out for its special abilities and dodge or counter them accordingly.
4. Make sure to heal yourself when necessary to stay alive in the fight.
5. Continue attacking and dodging until the boss is defeated!
- Rush as close as possible and ignore the summoned creature the boss calls at the start of the fight.
- Use King’s Soul to slow down time and target the Abomination until its stamina bar drains to deal a finisher.
- Ranged players can do the same from a safe distance, but once the King’s Soul effect ends, they will be exposed to the attacks of the summon and the Abomination.
- Use Charged Spells in quick succession to deal as much damage as possible. Using the Burning Embers charged spell will do the trick.
If a character is wearing the Soulstone and it’s fully charged, they can avoid dying at least once. This additional life gives them another opportunity to inflict greater damage on the Abomination, ultimately allowing them to defeat it permanently.
After overcoming the boss, plunder its remains for the enchanted Bloodblade – a one-handed sword that enhances life drain by 2%. Then, continue deeper into the room where you’ll encounter a chest containing potions and crafting resources. The room below serves as the dungeon entrance, so be cautious not to discard it. Instead, retrace your steps and return to Prydwen to conclude the quest and secure the final rewards.
How To Complete Blood Stains The Circle In Tainted Grail The Fall Of Avalon

As a gamer, interacting with Prydwen uncovers hidden details about the ominous research happening within the druid circle, wrapping up the Blood Stains the Circle mission for me, and earning me the Winged Spear as my reward.
This weapon significantly boosts damage by an impressive 100% when players have less than half their mana remaining. A valuable asset for a druid summoner setup, as it can deplete up to 50% of the player’s mana to conjure creatures. Once summoned, these creatures will swarm enemies while the player benefits from the spear’s buff, allowing melee attacks. It is a solid build that players can rely on for a considerable length of time before needing to transition to a more specialized setup.
After Prydwen graciously compensates the players with generous rewards, he will succumb to his fate. The surviving druids who are now undead will maintain their neutral stance, so there’s no need for excessive concern. However, it is crucial that players remember the events within this hidden Blood Lake dungeon, as they hold significance to the main plot of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. This knowledge will prove valuable when making a critical decision in the subsequent stages of their journey.
