A sneak peek at the third “Knives Out” movie, called “Wake Up Dead Man,” has been released, and the short glimpse hints at a dark and foreboding plot, just as its title suggests.

The sound of a church bell tolling can be heard, growing progressively louder until the teaser fades to black. Although no dialogue was spoken, the video carries the “The wicked seek the fortress of wrongdoers, but the roots of the upright remain steadfast.
As a movie enthusiast, it’s intriguing to note that the quote harks back to the Old Testament in the Bible, fittingly so given the teaser’s emphasis on the spiritual symbolism of a church. The plot details for the upcoming Knives Out mystery are being tightly guarded, but Netflix hinted that this next case could prove to be Benoit Blanc’s deadliest challenge yet. With another stellar cast lined up, Wake Up Dead Man is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited films on their streaming platform this year.
‘Wake Up Dead Man’ Will Feature An Impressive Ensemble Cast
A diverse cast is set to team up with Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc for the third movie of this upcoming mystery series, generating enthusiasm even without disclosing any plot details yet. The latest addition to the cast, Josh O’Connor, who was last seen in 2024’s “Challengers,” will portray a priest in the film and can be glimpsed alongside Craig’s character in the initial image of the series. Similarly, Josh Brolin, known for his role in “Dune,” will also play a priest in the movie, while Mila Kunis will take on the role of a police chief.
In this upcoming movie, some of the cast members who are keeping their roles under wraps are Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church. Interestingly enough, there have been hints about Renner in the film Glass Onion, leading some to believe that he might be playing a version of himself in this new mystery. Each instalment of the Benoit Blanc mysteries has boasted an impressive roster of actors, and one of the most intriguing aspects as we await its release is not knowing which characters will have the most significant parts.
The first movie, titled “Knives Out,” showcased Ana de Armas and Lakeith Stanfield as detective Blanc’s associates in his probe of the Thrombey family. Conversely, “Glass Onion” introduced Janelle Monáe’s character disguising herself as her twin sister to gain access to billionaire Miles Bron’s (Edward Norton) residence, under Blanc’s instructions. The cast slated for “Wake Up Dead Man” would be an excellent match for Craig, and the anticipation builds as we wait for more film clips from the movie, which may be unveiled at Netflix’s TUDUM event on May 31.
