How To Complete Roots of Knowledge in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon

Find Eogan and Talk to Him

In the Horns of the South fortress, look for Eogan atop the tower. To reach there, start from the rear of the fortress and gradually move towards the tower. Instead of climbing the stairs straight ahead, opt for the wooden path on the right side instead. This path will lead you to a rooftop garden, where Eogan tends to it. Conversing with him reveals that he’s rather enigmatic and not particularly sociable. He also shares that Ruairc is his closest friend, which sets your next quest objective in motion.

Eogan can be found at the top of a tower within Horns of the South fortress. Begin from the backside of the fortress and make your way to the tower. Instead of climbing the stairs directly, take the right-hand wooden path. This path will guide you to a rooftop garden, where Eogan works, and talking with him reveals his secretive nature and friendship with Ruairc, setting you on your next quest objective.

Learn About Eogan From Ruairc

As Eogan seems tight-lipped, I figured the best way to gather more about him would be chatting with his one and only buddy, Ruairc, back at the fortress kitchen. So, I approach Ruairc and inquire about good old Eogan. To my surprise, he opens up and shares that Eogan was a revolutionary at heart, but due to the political games played by the Captains, he had to abandon his ideals. With this newfound knowledge about Eogan’s past, I head back to him on the rooftop garden, eager to see how these insights might change our interactions moving forward.

Plant and Harvest Eogan’s Seeds

When you talk to Ruairc, he’ll assign you a task to sow seeds from Eogan’s Special Seeds in one of the garden plots. The seeds will eventually grow into a mature plant after 36 hours within the game. Until then, feel free to work on other quests or relax near the bonfire. Once the plant has fully grown, interact with it to gather Eogan’s Mysterious Root. Bring the root back to Eogan to finish this quest and unlock the subsequent mission called Pumpkin Peril, where you must locate pumpkin seeds to plant.
