In the game titled Elden Ring Nightreign, every time you enter the game world to face the Night, you’ll essentially be starting anew. To overcome each of the Night Lords effectively, it’s crucial that you equip yourself with suitable weapons and resources.
In the realm of Elden Ring Nightreign, slaying Adel becomes a breeze when I’ve got both icy and poisonous arsenals at my disposal. To lay my hands on these weapons, I must be well-versed in where they’ll materialize on the game map before diving in for combat.
Where To Get Ice and Poison Weapons In Elden Ring Nightreign
Upon entering the battlefield, search for Nightreign map indicators corresponding to the types of weapons you’re interested in. For instance, if you seek an ice weapon, look out for the icon that appears as a sword outlined with glowing blue, symbolizing cold. On the other hand, poison weapons can be spotted at green icons on the map; these icons have bubbles on them, representing toxic substances.
Upon reaching the marked spot on the map, you’ll either need to vanquish the mini-bosses indicated as the Elden Ring mini-bosses or find a chest in that particular area to obtain the promised weapon type. Should there be no mini-bosses nor treasure chests present, it’s unlikely you’ll secure a weapon there. Instead, expect to receive a one-time use ice projectile for throwing. Upon opening the chest or defeating the boss, you will be presented with several item choices; these can range from upgrades or weapons, and the specific upgrades or weapon types received will be random.
In Elden Ring Nightreign, unlike holy or fire weapons, ice and poison are not quantifiable stats that can be attached to weapons. Instead, they manifest as weapon skills or ailments that the weapon imparts. For instance, the Icerind Hatchet is an axe that causes Frostbite and has Hoarfrost Stomp as its skill. Similarly, the Venomous Fang is a weapon that induces Poison in enemies.

Why Is Poison Damage so Important When Fighting Adel Baron of Night?

There are some spoilers for the mechanics of the Adel fight below.
Poison proves an excellent choice when aiming to subdue Adel Baron of Night, the formidable Nightreign Lord from Elden Ring. This colossal adversary has a strong aversion to poison; should you strike it with weapons tainted by this substance several times, it will respond by retching violently. During these moments of disgust, if you manage to steer clear of its mouth, you’ll gain precious time to deal damage before it regains its composure.
