As a passionate gamer, I can share my excitement about the upcoming season of Resident Alien! In the thrilling trailer for Season 4, it seems that poor ol’ me, Harry, is still struggling with my alien powers – just a basic ‘B’ player for now, it appears. The premiere date hasn’t been revealed yet, but I can’t wait to see what unfolds!
Additionally, some intriguing news about the cast has emerged. Stephen Root will be joining the Resident Alien family as my sinister alien father – oh boy, this is going to get interesting! Furthermore, Harry and Asta are set to welcome visitors from my home planet in a brand new comic series. This exclusive sneak peek promises a whole lot of action and adventure – I can hardly contain myself!
Where all the Resident Alien characters stand ahead of Season 4
“Dr.” Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk)

Previously, we found Harry confined in a lunar prison cell alongside his cherished child Bridget, on the Greys’ base. However, the Harry who managed to escape with Asta, D’arcy, and the kidnapped baby was unmasked as the shape-shifting, skull-devouring Mantid, voiced by none other than Clancy Brown, who made his debut in the final episode of Season 3.
Asta Twelvetrees (Sara Tomko)

After their encounter on the Greys’ lunar base, Asta finds herself having a conversation with Harry at Dan’s diner and assures him not to feel guilty about the loss of Bridget. However, it’s later revealed that the person Asta is talking to isn’t actually Harry, but rather the Mantid, whose true identity is subtly hinted at when Harry suddenly finds a pie unpalatable, which is one of his favorite foods.
Despite this, Asta’s compassionate personality recalls the conversation she had with D’arcy earlier in the episode, where she confesses that her constant urge to care for others serves as a means of overlooking her personal emotional issues. Yet, ensuring the wellbeing of her loved ones also functions as a method for securing her own contentment.
D’arcy Bloom (Alice Wetterlund)

By the end of Season 3, D’arcy has fully decided to give up her own life to prevent the Grey’s catastrophic schemes and save Earth.
After losing her Olympic aspirations following a skiing accident years prior, D’arcy found this endeavor as an opportunity to find a meaningful role in life. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. Instead, she redirected her efforts towards rescuing Kate and her newborn baby from the lunar base. Successfully accomplishing that mission, she approached the Hawthorne residence in Patience to return the infant girl to her mother by knocking on their door.
Max Hawthorne (Judah Prehn)

After the rumored passing of Peter Bock (Terry O’Quinn), Max chose on his own initiative to step into the “Alien Tracker” position. Indeed, given his ability to perceive beyond alien disguises, there could hardly be a more fitting candidate for the role.
In the story, it was me who was convinced to reconcile with the one known as Mantid, but little did I know that this Harry residing by the lake was indeed my old friend, not the adversary I had always known. Needless to say, when I laid eyes on the terrifyingly transformed Mantid instead of my long-standing buddy, a good dose of panic was in order.
Sheriff Mike Thompson (Corey Reynolds)

Following numerous efforts to challenge Liv’s conviction that extraterrestrials exist, Sheriff Mike ultimately obtains irrefutable evidence of life beyond Earth when he unconsciouses a bona fide Gray alien species member.
Despite the evidence presented in Season 4’s trailer, Mike remains skeptical. He views the world as a simple dichotomy, referring to it as “black and white, salt and pepper.” It is noteworthy that before his unusual experience, Sheriff Mike had reconciled with his girlfriend, Detective Lena Torres (Nicola Correia-Damude).
Deputy Liv Baker (Elizabeth Bowen)

As someone who’s convinced about extraterrestrial life, me – Deputy Liv – has been keeping this secret close to my heart within our small town. It’s high time I join the group aware of Harry’s real identity. My unwavering belief has led to a cryptic message inviting me for a clandestine meeting near an abandoned coal mine, deep in the untamed wilderness.
Upon showing up, Liv is greeted by none other than the cyborg-ized Peter Bock!
Mayor Ben Hawthorne (Levi Fiehler)

Following the discovery that they’ve been kidnapped by aliens, specifically the Greys, Ben becomes resolute on extracting the implants from their necks located at the back. However, Kate objects, prioritizing the recovery of their child, and Ben concedes to this plan as they both drift off to sleep intertwined, prepared for another abduction. Upon Kate’s return, Ben endeavors to uncover what transpired, but his wife can’t recall any details.
Kate Hawthorne (Meredith Garretson)

Regarding Kate, it’s revealed that she gets transported to the Gray family’s lunar facility this time, determined to battle them over custody of her daughter. Collaborating with D’arcy, her daughter is rescued and brought back to Earth. Despite not recalling the events (the Greys sent her back before achieving her objective), Kate is on the verge of meeting a child she was tricked into believing didn’t exist.
Dan Twelvetrees (Gary Farmer)

In appreciation for Harry’s heroic act of saving both the planet and his daughter, Dan extends an offer to Dr. Vanderspeigle: a lifetime supply of free diner pie. Unfortunately, the actual Harry isn’t present to join in the celebration. However, as Asta pointed out, Harry never pays for his pie, so it’s not a significant alteration. But ultimately, it’s the gesture that truly matters, doesn’t it?
Sahar Karimi (Gracelyn Awad Rinke)

In the last two episodes of Season 3, Sahar, who had previously left for a unique educational opportunity for exceptionally talented students in California, comes back to Patience. Her purpose was to assist Harry in mending his relationships with Bridget and Max.
General Eleanor McCallister (Linda Hamilton)

In the Season 3 finale, the general who is fixated on aliens captures Grey-human hybrid Joseph (Enver Gjokaj), aided by an Alien Tracker, a cyborg device. However, the Alien Tracker later betrays its governmental superiors and manages to flee. With Joseph detained, McCallister obtains access to technology from the Greys that enables travel through time and space via portals. It’s unclear what she intends to use this for, but it may be a way for her to visit her deceased father, who sparked her lifelong interest in extraterrestrials.
