Nightreign is a challenging game that appears to be a roguelike but is actually a collection of boss battles from the Elden Ring series. You’ll encounter well-known characters like Crucible Knight, Margit (Fell Omen), Bell Bearing Hunter, and others in this game. The downside is that it includes some of the most frustrating bosses the series has to offer, with Wormface being particularly difficult.
Wormface is a challenging boss encountered in Elden Ring Nightreign, and it seems even tougher than you might remember from the original game. This boss packs a punch, summons minions to aid him, and can inflict status effects that make the battle more difficult. If you’re having trouble defeating Wormface and need some advice on how to beat it, we’ve got you covered! In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to defeat Wormface in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview of the Wormface in Elden Ring Nightreign
Previously mentioned, Wormface serves as a Night boss within Elden Ring’s Nightreign. Essentially, you encounter this boss towards the end of either Day 1 or Day 2 in the game. In our playthrough, we encountered and battled it on Day 2. This boss shares many irritating characteristics from Elden Ring, with its most aggravating feature being the infliction of Death Blight.
As you get near the boss, you’ll notice a Death Blight gauge starting to rise. If this gauge reaches maximum, it’s an immediate game over, making the boss quite challenging. To add to the difficulty, the boss conjures hordes of rats, zombies, and crustaceans that you must dodge while keeping a safe distance from the boss itself.
Tips To Easily Defeat Wormface in Elden Ring Nightreign
Previously mentioned, Wormface causes Death Blight and can eliminate you when its gauge reaches full. This gauge requires approximately 10 seconds to be filled, and even more time to drain. Effectively handling this gauge is crucial for overcoming the boss.
To successfully combat Death Blight, it’s essential to leverage your minions wisely. Slaying the tiny rodents scattered around the arena yields boluses that can be utilized to reset the Death Blight gauge. This gives you more time to approach the boss without triggering the Death Blight immediately. Accumulate as many boluses as possible by killing the rats, then strategize your attack on Wormface. Be sure not to send all team members charging at once; doing so could result in the entire team succumbing to Death Blight simultaneously. Instead, coordinate your attacks and use the boluses effectively for a more successful outcome.
