‘Star Wars’: Mia Goth to Play Villain Opposite Ryan Gosling in ‘Starfighter’

Mia Goth has joined Ryan Gosling in Star Wars: Starfighter, the feature from director Shawn Levy.

Gosling is spearheading the upcoming project for a new feature, set to commence filming this autumn in England. The release date has been set for May 28th, 2027.

Information about the project is limited, yet it’s known that Gosling will portray a character tasked with shielding his young nephew from harmful adversaries.

Goth has been cast as one of the chase characters, similar to the part that Mikey Madison was considering prior to her agreement falling apart due to financial issues.

Lucasfilm had no comment.

This movie tells a self-contained tale that won’t be connected to the popular Star Wars saga known as the Skywalker Saga, which revolves around the characters Luke Skywalker and his father, Anakin. The events in “Starfighter” occur about five years after the happenings depicted in 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Levy stated at the Star Wars Celebration in Japan last April that this isn’t a prequel or a sequel, but rather a fresh, unexplored adventure taking place in an untouched time period.

Goth garnered praise and attracted a following primarily due to her appearances in Ti West’s series of horror films, which comprise ‘X’, ‘Pearl’, and ‘MaXXXine’. Her characters were featured in narratives set in the 1910s, 1970s, and 1980s.

I’ll be joining forces with the talented Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi for this project. Additionally, I’ve got an enigmatic part to play in Christopher Nolan’s take on The Odyssey!
