Introducing a new antagonist in the vein of Darth Vader, the Emperor, and Kylo Ren: Allow me to present Mia Goth, who has starred in films such as X, Pearl, and MaXXXine.
In the newly unveiled “Star Wars: Starfighter“, Goth will share screen time with Ryan Gosling. This movie, set to be directed by Shawn Levy who’s known for “Deadpool” and “Wolverine”, is a separate film within the “Star Wars” universe.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, details about the project are limited, but it’s known that Ryan Gosling will portray a character tasked with safeguarding a young ward from dangerous adversaries. Eva Green is set to appear as one of these antagonists. Notably, Green will take on the role initially eyed by Mikey Madison before her deal fell through due to financial disputes.
After a prolonged hiatus from cinemas, the Star Wars franchise is now actively restarting movie productions again. The last big-screen Star Wars release, “The Rise of Skywalker,” hit theaters as far back as 2019. In the time since then, the series has exclusively produced TV shows for Disney+. During this period, Lucasfilm did announce some potential film projects; however, each and every one of them found themselves stuck in a state of limbo known as development hell.
Interestingly, it’s worth noting that the only “Star Wars” production that came to fruition originated from their television division. Specifically, the upcoming movie titled “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” a continuation of the acclaimed Disney+ series, is set to hit theaters in May 2026.
Lucasfilm unveiled the upcoming movie titled “Starfighter” back at Star Wars Celebration this spring. At that point, it was stated by Levy that the film would not be a prequel or sequel to any existing Star Wars movies, but rather an entirely new story set in a time period not previously seen on the big screen for Star Wars.
Star Wars: Starfighter is currently scheduled to open in theaters on May 28, 2027.
I Ate Everything on Burger King’s ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Menu
Dragon Flame-Grilled Whopper
The main attraction is a 1/4 pound of juicy flame-grilled beef sandwiched between a red-and-orange-hued bun infused with natural spices and vegetables. It’s adorned with melted American cheese, crispy strips of bacon, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles, a drizzle of ketchup, and a generous layer of mayonnaise (total calories: 870).
The Whopper I Was Served:
Initially, I must agree that the “Toothless Whopper” name might not be appealing. And aren’t all Whoppers devoid of teeth? At least, I hope so.
Similar to the recent “Addams Family Wednesday” Whopper, the “How to Train Your Dragon” Whopper is essentially a regular Whopper (with bacon) featuring a distinctive bun – in this case, one with a “red-and-orange-marbled” appearance rather than purple. I was surprised that the actual bun resembled the promotional photos, as the colors are actually mixed throughout. When you take a bite and examine the burger’s cross-section, the bun appears even more convincingly marbled on the inside, giving it a somewhat fiery appearance. So points for visual appeal at least.
However, I feel that this Whopper missed an opportunity in terms of flavor. They can call it “dragon flame-grilled” all they want, but we know that Toothless isn’t breathing on the ground beef back in the kitchen. While the bacon adds a smoky element to the burger, and where there is smoke, dragons often follow – nevertheless, given the theme, a spicy Whopper would have made more sense. My co-host Griffin Newman, who joined me for this meal, astutely pointed out that Burger King recently offered an “Angry Whopper” with “spicy angry sauce.” They could have reintroduced that, placed it on a marbled bun, and called it a day.
Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Fries
Burger King introduces the Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Fries, a spicy twist on their classic fries. They are covered in melted mozzarella cheese, peppers, and breading infused with Fiery Calabrian chili pepper for an extra kick. To top it off, these fiery fries come in a unique carton inspired by the beloved dragon character, Toothless.” (450 calories)
The Fries I Was Served:
In one corner, we have regular spice and in another, fast food spice – it’s hardly spicy at all. However, credit where credit is due, the Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Fries were surprisingly hot! I can’t say for certain if I tasted Calabrian chili peppers, but there was definitely a lingering heat.
The fries came with ranch dip to help cool down the burn from these fiery cheese fries. My only gripe: The promised Toothless-inspired carton was nowhere to be found. Instead, my fries arrived in a standard Burger King bag. Let’s call it a minor oversight in presentation – after all, humor is free!
Soaring Strawberry Lemonade
Experience new horizons and satisfy your craving for excitement with the freshly introduced Soaring Strawberry Lemonade, crafted using real fruit juice (90 calories). *Note: This beverage is made from lemonade, sugar, strawberry puree, and natural flavors.
*Note: The double asterisks refer to a note that explains the drink contains lemonade, sugar, strawberry puree, and natural flavors.
The Lemonade I Was Served:
The connection between strawberry lemonade and “How to Train Your Dragon” might be a bit of a stretch, but let’s imagine a scenario where Gerard Butler’s character in the live-action remake introduces the drink as a thirst-quenching invention of Vikings following their long dragon hunting days. In line with the theme’s color scheme, I proposed grape lemonade instead of strawberry, which shares the purple hue of Toothless’ fire breath. Although it seems like I might have come up with a new drink, perhaps grape lemonade is already an existing beverage?
To put it simply: The theme is somewhat questionable, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying every drop of this sweet and tasty strawberry lemonade (or was it grape lemonade?). I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again, even if it does pair rather poorly with the dragon-fire mozzarella sticks.
Viking’s Chocolate Sundae
Enjoy the conclusion of your journey with the Viking’s Chocolate Sundae, a delightful dessert offering vanilla soft-serve ice cream drizzled with rich HERSHEY’S chocolate syrup and sprinkled with black and green cookie crumbs (contains approximately 260 calories).
The Sundae I Was Served:
In this version, I aimed to make the language more conversational, used simpler phrases, and clarified the meaning of some sentences.
The Final Verdict
This menu is essentially a narrative of two categories. (My English literature studies in college are proving quite useful!) The first pair of dishes have strong themes based on “How to Train Your Dragon,” but I’m unsure if either would appeal to the movie’s primary audience. (The spicy mozzarella sticks might make my kids react as if they were actually in pain.)
Conversely, the sweet items would undoubtedly delight younger “Dragon” fans — yet neither item shares a connection with the movie. Burger King could rename these dishes and keep them on their menu indefinitely; no one would question it.
It’s an intriguing contrast. However, let us recall that “How to Train Your Dragon” revolves around a world filled with contrasts — such as the divide between human and dragon societies. This divided community must learn to collaborate for mutual benefit. Similarly, a Burger King customer must learn to appreciate both the spicy dishes symbolizing indentured dragons in a fast-food kitchen and the sweet ones resembling recipes discovered lying around in the Burger King test kitchen. Indeed, these dishes’ struggle to form a harmonious whole serves as an excellent metaphor for the theme of collaboration and accepting differences that lies at the core of “How to Train Your Dragon”!!!
I guess I had too much dragon-flavored meat for lunch today. I think I’ll take a nap now.
Ranking of How to Train Your Dragon Menu:
1. Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Sticks
2. Soaring Strawberry Lemonade
3. Dragon Flame-Grilled Whopper
4. Viking’s Chocolate Sundae
