Jamie Lever breaks silence on s*xual harassment in school days: Molestation by bus conductor, flashing incidents and more

As a lifestyle advisor, I’m often reminded that open dialogue about personal struggles is no longer stigmatized in today’s world. Whether it’s sharing insights about past traumas like harassment or speaking out about their own experiences with abuse, many influential figures have bravely shared their stories.

Recently, Jamie Lever, the daughter of comedian Johnny Lever, courageously discussed an incident from her school days. She recounted how a man approached their school and inappropriately behaved in front of them. Additionally, she spoke about how her school bus conductor inappropriately touched her.

Speaking to Hautterfly about the disturbing events that have occurred in Jamie Lever’s life, she shared memories of her initial encounter with a suspicious individual when she was only 12 years old as a comedian. She disclosed that a man approached and positioned himself directly before her and her companion while they were waiting for their brother outside school. This man then appeared and began masturbating in front of them, which left Jamie Lever’s daughter deeply affected by the traumatic experience.

She admitted that it was her first encounter with a man, and she had no clue about his actions. Her companion recommended staying clear of the individual, and they began conversing instead. “I was truly terrified. I was trembling. I cautiously moved and secured the car. Eventually, he figured out we weren’t giving him attention. He departed. At that time, I was around 10 or 12 years old.

Jamie also remembered another unpleasant incident from her school days, where a bus conductor would inappropriately touch her and her friends. She described it as a “disturbing memory.” “He was supposed to keep us safe, but he violated our boundaries instead. To me, these events feel like a nightmare I’d rather forget,” she expressed.

Beyond emphasizing her point, Lever shared that she has experienced multiple disturbing instances since entering college. One particularly unsettling memory is being at Mumbai’s Andheri station where a stranger approached and exposed himself in front of her. These incidents left her feeling terrified. She wonders, “If such an incident can occur to me, who was educated in one of the top schools, then how can I guarantee that it won’t happen to my children?
