King of Fighters (SNK) has made an announcement: The debut DLC character for “City of the Wolves,” Andy Bogard, is scheduled for release on June 24th. The whole Season 1 DLC will be complimentary for players who buy the game.
The announcement took place at Community Effort Orlando (CEO), a highly respected annual fighting game event comparable to Evo. Just before the Top 8 round was scheduled for the City of the Wolves tournament, a brief trailer for Andy Bogard appeared, highlighting his distinctive move set featuring numerous opportunities for strategic mix-ups against opponents.
In the Fatal Fury series, Andy is widely loved by fans. He shares romantic connections with Mai Shiranui and is Terry Bogard’s brother. With his unique charm, he stands out. His martial arts style is Shiranui-ryuu, a distinctive ninjutsu technique found within the SNK game universe.
In the game City of the Wolves, Andy, similar to Mai and Hokutomaru who are also learners of the Shiranui style (and he’s my go-to character), excels at a swift, aggressive playstyle that overpowers opponents. Encountering Andy in battle is already daunting due to his diverse array of mixups such as left-right feints, command grabs, and an abundance of flashy combos.

To clarify, Andy Bogard marks the initial DLC character for this season in Fatal Fury: City of Wolves. This game, in my opinion, is one of the most entertaining fighting games released in recent times and certainly warrants a chance to thrive.
In the coming days, after Andy, there will be two new characters arriving in South Town – Ken Masters (appearing during summer) and Chun-Li (making an appearance in winter), both from Street Fighter. Additionally, Joe Higashi is expected to make an entrance between these two Street Fighter representatives. The fifth and final character to join the roster will be Mr. Big, who is set to appear in early 2026.
