In the game Wittle Defender, it’s quite straightforward to conquer each level with a dash of good fortune and some top-tier characters. Today, we are providing the ultimate tier list for Wittle Defender, helping you make informed decisions about which Mythic or Legendary heroes to choose and utilize.
Regardless if it’s a regular battle, a Star Challenge, or a Daily Challenge, always prepare a suitable team beforehand. At times, you might require Area of Effect (AoE) abilities with no Single Target (ST) damage, while other situations call for focusing solely on ST damage and avoiding AoE.
In my Wittle Defender tier list, I’ve ranked all the heroes not only based on their performance in chapter battles, but also considering their overall capabilities. Consequently, a hero like Demon Spawn might find himself in the S tier, as he is a highly effective single target DPS and comes at no cost to you. Moreover, if you upgrade his skill appropriately, he can also dish out area of effect damage.
Legendary vs Mythic heroes
I have concluded that not all Legendaries necessarily rank below Mythics. That might come as a surprise, given how rare it is to pull a Mythic. So, you will find a few of the Legendaries landing in the top tier too. That’s because heroes like Ice Witch can be extremely good, especially when it comes to AoE damage.
Surely, Legendary figures such as the Ice Demon rank among the elite, despite not having the highest damage output – this is due to their exceptional abilities, which excel across all game modes.
Consider the Chain Skill
The Chain Skill is an additional skill (a passive one) that you can activate when you deploy two heroes that have the same skill. That one activates when you have heroes like Ice Demon + Ice Queen, or Ice Mage + Ice Witch. Of course, all the Legendary and Mythic heroes have one, so you can also try deploying heroes with matching Chain Skills to the battlefield – it’s not mandatory, but it can be a nice little bonus.
So, now that you understand how this Wittle Defender tier list has been created, it’s time to dive into the actual rankings and see which ones you should deploy once you get them!
1 S tier (the best heroes)
- Ice Queen
- Ice Demon
- Robot
- Blazing Archer
- Demon Spawn
- Seraph
- Fire Mage
- Ice Witch
In the game Wittle Defender, the Ice Queen and Ice Demon are currently boasting some of the top Chain Skills. When you manage to obtain and improve these two characters, they make an exceptional team. The Ice Witch possesses the ability to cast Ice Storm, a skill that inflicts continuous damage on opponents. The Ice Demon, while primarily support, can summon soldiers to shield your squad, as these troops take the initial blows first. It’s advisable to utilize them both, as they excel in single target and area of effect situations.
Two fantastic characters for all game modes are the Blazing Archer and Demon Spawn. They excel at obliterating bosses and managing swarms of enemies due to their exceptional abilities. Their Chain Skill is particularly noteworthy as it triggers Burning Ground, making it an effective area-of-effect combo.
In the current game scenario, Seraph stands out as an exceptional support character, earning her place at the top of the Wittle Defender tier list, particularly when we define supports traditionally. Her ability to heal the entire team makes her indispensable, ensuring that she’s a must-have in any team composition. She plays a crucial role in overcoming end-game stages. Although Seraph has a Chain Skill with the High Priest, their co-deployment isn’t necessary for her effectiveness – it’s primarily her healing capabilities that shine.
2 A tier (good heroes)
- Night Baron
- Swordmaster
- Thunder Pharaoh
- Demon Hunter
- Cat Assassin
- Ice Mage
- High Priest
- Fire Witch
Thunder Pharaoh is impressive, yet it’s fair to say that without the Ion Laser and Forked Lasers, he doesn’t quite reach the top-tier status. He performs exceptionally well when paired with the Robot, but on his own, Thunder Pharaoh is merely average. I’ve had ample experience with him, and he can be effective given numerous upgrades, but without them, he’s rather fragile.
In simpler terms, while the Swordmaster could potentially be top-tier, for me, Demon Spawn proves to be more dependable. He delivers both area-of-effect (AoE) and single-target (ST) damage effectively, but he requires significant upgrades to truly excel. His compatibility with Night Baron is beneficial, but I believe there are better choices if your focus is on AoE.
If you invest enough upgrades into the Ice Mage, she can become extremely powerful. She generates a circular zone that persistently inflicts area-of-effect (AoE) damage on any enemies stepping within it. While the Ice Mage is capable, her companion for the combat situation, Ice Witch, outperforms her significantly in terms of AoE damage. This is because the Ice Mage’s ability only impacts a particular section of the battlefield, whereas the Ice Witch’s skill influences the entire arena.
3 B tier (bad heroes)
- Elf Ranger
- Novice Priest
- Frost Archer
- Fire Apprentice
- Unyielding Lancer
- Frankenstein
- Rogue Fire Mage
- Ice Wolf Pup
At the base of the Wittle Defender rankings, you’ll find the Epics and Commons. These characters serve as temporary options until you obtain Legendary or Mythic heroes. The advantage lies in their upgradability, as you enhance not the hero level individually, but the overall team slot level. This means you can safely improve them before replacing them with stronger heroes.
These standard and legendary characters aren’t capable of being enhanced, making them inherently less powerful compared to others. Use them only when necessary, and consider replacing them with stronger characters when possible.
