‘Wicked,’ ‘Anora,’ More ‘Poker Face,’ Record Number of Local Originals on SkyShowtime Slate (Exclusive)

This year, some highly anticipated titles such as the Oscar-winning Anora, season 2 of Poker Face starring Natasha Lyonne, Landman featuring Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, and Sam Elliott, season 3 of Tulsa King with Sylvester Stallone, and Dexter: Resurrection starring Michael C. Hall will be available on the European streaming service SkyShowtime.

On Tuesday, the collaborative streaming platform between Comcast and Paramount Global revealed its lineup, featuring brand new and exclusive series, as well as first-run Hollywood films. Moreover, SkyShowtime announced that a significant number of local originals are set to debut on their service this year.

For SkyShowtime’s programming this year, you can expect the fourth season of “Mayor of Kingstown” featuring Jeremy Renner, as well as the second season of Seth MacFarlane’s comedy “Ted”. Joining them are new shows such as the mystery series “All Her Fault”, starring Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning, the adventure series “Atomic” with Alfie Allen and Samira Wiley, the thriller “The Iris Affair” featuring Niamh Algar and Tom Hollander, mockumentary “The Paper” from Greg Daniels (known for “The Office”) and Michael Koman (famous for “Nathan for You”).

Beginning June 20th, you’ll find all seasons of the beloved U.S. comedy “The Office” and legal drama “Suits” from July 17th on SkyShowtime. Moreover, other renowned series joining SkyShowtime include the third season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” premiering Aug. 4, as well as the upcoming installment of the popular NCIS franchise, “NCIS: Tony & Ziva,” which is scheduled to debut this fall, according to the streamer’s announcement.

Some popular movies joining SkyShowtime’s lineup later this year include the gothic horror film “Nosferatu”, starring Bill Skarsgård, Lily-Rose Depp, and Nicholas Hoult, as well as “The Brutalist”, featuring Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, and Guy Pearce. These films will be available for streaming in selected regions.

SkyShowtime is set to debut several new original series in various languages. Among them are the Spanish series “Arcadia”, the comedic show “Nails”, two Polish productions – a continuation of “Glina” and the documentary “Krychowiak: One Step from the Top”. The critically acclaimed Swedish comedy-drama “Where the Sun Always Shines”, directed by Felix Herngren, will make its debut on November 10th. Additionally, the second season of the popular Nordic crime drama “Veronika”, helmed by Academy Award nominee Mikael Håfström, is scheduled for release later this year on SkyShowtime.
