It’s widely acknowledged that cowboys, pirates, and samurai are among the most intriguing historical figures. In our imaginations, they might not have been as glamorous or heroic as we often portray them, but when crafting a character for your tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG), you can’t deny the allure of choosing one of these iconic characters.

In a sense, it’s no wonder that the latest class in Wizardry Variants Daphne – the samurai – leverages this enduring fascination. These aren’t the historical feudal lords who were retainers, but rather, they resemble the katana-wielding characters from anime and movies. Instead of focusing on sword and shield, their strength lies in mastering the art of timing, shifting stances to secure victory.

Introducing Shiou, the Enduring Katana Wielder, making her debut as the inaugural temporary legendary adventurer of this class, accompanied by the freshly introduced class and its signature weapon – the katana. Shiou specializes in drawing enemy attacks towards herself and unleashing a deadly strike when her health falls below a certain threshold.

Shiou’s Remains event will last until August 6th, and features both her and her gear, with the Kiki-Ichimonji Katana, Peony Hair Ornament and Greaves of Valor. Not only that, but a new adventurer with the dwarf Samurai Bugen will also be joining Wizardry Variants Daphne and will be available in their own remains between now and July 30th.
