- Eat the Rich has been pushed back to a September 10th release date
- It’ll release for mobile and other platforms shortly after
- The social deduction experience is set in a future where billionaires are at the mercy of the masses
There are many positive things that can be said about the idea and development of Eat the Rich, the upcoming multiplayer game focusing on social deception. However, we’ll need to wait and see if our assumptions are correct, as its PC and mobile launches have been delayed until later in the year.
Fight for Survival
In this story, we delve into a post-apocalyptic scenario where the super-wealthy survived society’s downfall, only to find themselves under the threat of those they once exploited. The wealthy are now compelled to compete in a lethal game show, with the winner claiming all the scant resources at stake. Regardless of how meager these prizes may be, victory is everything.
Although the idea might appear overly self-indulgent considering the current negative perception of the ultra-wealthy, it still held an authentic charm as a social deduction puzzle that was filled with numerous activities reminiscent of Squid Game, serving to cull participants and maintain an efficient and lethal tempo.
Eating well
While the buzz for Eat the Rich has been fairly quiet from my perspective, I wouldn’t be surprised if quite a few of you are disappointed to see it pushed back. Eat the Rich has an intriguing premise, coupled with the ever-popular mechanic of social deduction and some Mario Party-inspired mini-games added to the mix.
Simultaneously, just like before, there’s always a purpose behind delays. Therefore, it’s expected that the product will be even more refined when “Eat the Rich” releases for PC on September 10th, with the mobile version following closely afterward.
If you enjoy testing your wits against both friends and strangers, why not explore some leading games reminiscent of the one that sparked the current trend?
