Even as we continue to enjoy the latest collaboration album by the Bay Area rapper, released a few months ago – the critically acclaimed “Life is Beautiful” with 2 Chainz and The Alchemist – June has come out with another complete album. This new album, titled “Until Night Comes,” carries his signature laid-back attitude and quintessential Californian perspective. Cardo Got Wings, one of June’s frequent collaborators, provides production for this album.
The album Until Night Comes, with its 14 tracks, beautifully captures the essence of a West Coast summer. This is clear right from the start, as track titles like “Meet Me on Harbor” and “7 Mile Bike Ride pt. 2” suggest. Furthermore, one of the songs is a reflection of the rapper’s healthy lifestyle, aptly named “Organic Free Range Chicken.
When June and Cardo team up, they create a dynamic duo that fills the ring so well that no extra players are really needed. However, for their fourth joint full-length album, Until Night Comes, they decided to collaborate with a few select artists – those who can mirror the intensity and effortless coolness flowing throughout the project. Don Toliver joins in on “100 Bags,” E-40 adds verses to “Ya Feel Me,” and Wiz Khalifa and Richie Rich lend their talents to the final track, “Until Night Comes.
