The highly anticipated thriller movie titled “The Savant“, featuring Jessica Chastain, is set to premiere on Apple TV+ this coming fall season.
The upcoming limited series, based on a 2019 story published by Cosmopolitan, is set to debut on September 26. Apple TV+ has given us a sneak peek of Chastain in her role as an undercover detective who secretly joins online hate groups with the aim of preventing domestic extremists from carrying out their threats, according to the show’s description.
The series titled “The Savant” has been under development for quite a while now. Back in March 2023, Apple TV+ commissioned this series from Fifth Season. As we approach its debut, Chastain has already taken on another role at the streaming platform, a show called “The Dealer,” which is an art-world drama and co-stars Adam Driver.
In addition to the main characters of The Savant, you’ll find actors like Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, Toussaint Francois Battiste, and a special appearance by Pablo Schreiber.
Melissa James Gibson (known for ‘Anatomy of a Scandal’ and ‘The Americans’) collaborates in executive production with Chastain and her partner Kelly Carmichael from Freckle Films, Alan Poul, director Matthew Heineman famous for ‘Cartel Land’, and David Levine and Garrett Kemble from Anonymous Content. Andrea Stanley, who penned the ‘Cosmopolitan’ tale that inspired the show, serves as a consultant.
