The third season of Euphoria is adding an Oscar winner to its team.
Renowned composer Hans Zimmer is teaming up with HBO’s series to create the music score for the upcoming third season, slated for release in 2026. He will be working alongside returning composer Labrinth, who was responsible for the music scores of the first two seasons.
It’s a privilege for me to become part of this remarkable group of storytellers, spearheaded by visionary Sam Levinson. They have collectively created such an impactful and emotional series that has resonated deeply with viewers. I am thrilled about the opportunity to collaborate with them and help develop the narrative further, as well as contribute to the unique musical identity of this season.

The eagerly anticipated third season of “Euphoria” started filming in February. Original cast members Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Colman Domingo, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane are all set to reprise their roles, with Sharon Stone joining the ensemble. The series will skip forward in time, placing the characters who were once high school students into their young adult years.
Sam Levinson, the creator and showrunner of Euphoria, expressed his great pleasure at working alongside Hans. He crafted this season’s storyline while listening to the soundtracks of Interstellar and True Romance, so Hans has been an integral part of the creative process since the start. Sam takes pride in the collaborative work he and Labrinth have accomplished in the past seasons, and he’s eager for Hans to help us achieve even greater heights.
