As for what he’d hope to see from the reboot, he gave a very mindful response, saying:

If and when their plan succeeds, I can only hope that it centers around this current generation of children, who are facing unique challenges in today’s world. It’s essential for them to see characters on-screen they can identify with, thinking, ‘That’s me.’

One Tree Hill featured characters embodying common high school archetypes, ranging from athletes to intellectuals, dealing with genuine real-life themes such as first love, body image struggles, and intricate family relationships. These themes resonated with many viewers in various ways during the show’s run.
