As a devoted fan of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, I find myself constantly entangled in the web of drama that this show so effortlessly weaves. This season has been no exception, with the intrigue surrounding James and Meitalia’s move to Indonesia keeping us all guessing. However, it seems that some behind-the-scenes drama is making its way into our living rooms as well – or rather, social media feeds.
heads up! the information that follows could reveal spoilers from season 6 of ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’. you can catch the series on TLC or with a ‘Max’ subscription to avoid any surprises.
In Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, there’s just so much drama that it seemed almost unavoidable for it to extend beyond the show itself. As we delve into the idea of “soft partnering” and remain dubious about James and Meitalia’s genuine plans to relocate to Indonesia, rumors are swirling that one cast member has been prohibited from attending the upcoming reunion specials.
In these special episodes, it’s always exciting as cast members have a chance to reveal additional insights or clarify actions from their storylines. Sometimes, however, some actors might not be included in these events for different reasons, and that seems to be the case if we are to trust the excluded party’s account here.
Statler Posts She Was Not Allowed To Be At The Tell-All
Statler and Dempsey Wilkinson’s van life story was prematurely spoiled by the former when she went on a rant ahead of the season suggesting they were no longer together. Fast forward to now, and Statler took to Instagram to tell her followers she was not allowed to participate in the tell-all special despite showing up in New York City for that (via Reddit):
1. Completed my tasks in New York City, regrettably couldn’t connect with everyone due to time constraints. Apologies to those I missed! A shout-out to 90 Day/Sharp Entertainment for making it clear they were apprehensive about me by declining my invitation to the Tell All event.
It appears Statler didn’t receive an invitation from TLC to attend the special, and it’s possible she tried to find a way to join despite that. Given she disclosed the ending of her storyline prematurely and has accused the 90 Day Fiancé franchise of stealing her idea for a spinoff, it’s not shocking that she wasn’t permitted to take part in the event.
Based on these comments, it seems plausible that Statler might have used the tell-all as an opportunity to criticize 90 Day Fiancé. However, I doubt it would have been successful because the show is filmed ahead of time and any controversial statements could have been edited out. Therefore, given the need for editing and potential ineffectiveness, it’s understandable that she wasn’t permitted to participate if her claims are correct.
Why I’m Bummed She Wasn’t On The Tell-All
Despite TLC’s justification for leaving Statler out of the tell-all, I can’t help but feel disappointed. There are several aspects of the van incident that I’d love to have more insight into, such as the expenses involved and who covered them. Regrettably, it seems we may not get a comprehensive explanation on these points, or at best, we might just hear Dempsey’s account of the situation.
These two are the best.
People who follow Statler on social media have witnessed her sharing her perspective on the matter, whereas Dempsey has stayed quiet about it all. It seems plausible that she wants to avoid getting into a similar controversial situation as her ex did and potentially damaging any future relationship with TLC by disclosing her point of view publicly.
It seems they might not be included in the tell-all book, which means Shaun Robinson won’t discuss their story at all. This would be unfortunate because I was hoping for more details or even Dempsey’s perspective given the accusations made by Statler. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this story might get told eventually, maybe if Dempsey appears in another spinoff, but only time will tell.
