As a cinema enthusiast with a penchant for unraveling the intricacies of human emotions through the lens of film, I eagerly anticipate the release of “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” in 2025. Directed by Kogonada and boasting an illustrious ensemble cast, the film promises a captivating tale that will undoubtedly resonate with audiences.
In 2025, the movie titled “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” is set to debut. This captivating romance film boasts an extraordinary cast and is under the guidance of a renowned director, Kogonada. Notable actors such as Academy Award nominees Colin Farrell, Margot Robbie, Jodie Turner-Smith, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Billy Magnussen, Sarah Gadon have joined the cast. Additionally, up-and-coming starlet Chloe East, whose recent A24 horror film, “Heretic,” featuring a chilling performance by Hugh Grant, has been making waves, will also be part of this exciting project. MovieWeb recently spoke with East in Los Angeles to gather more information about “Heretic” and her collaboration for the eagerly awaited “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey“.
Speaking from personal experience, collaborating with Colin was an absolute joy. He’s undeniably one of the finest actors I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside.
He’s so inspiring and just kind of showed up on set every day, like, with the mentality and energy like, ‘We love making movies!’ And I was like, ‘Yeah! I know! It’s so awesome! You just have so much good energy.’ He’s awesome.
Sophie Thatcher Is Drawn to ‘Darker Things’
In the gripping series “Heretic”, Sophie Thatcher appears alongside East, both playing Mormon missionaries. They embark on a chilling voyage of spiritual exploration and survival, venturing into the foreboding residence of a stranger (Grant), who eventually reveals a menacing side without giving away spoilers. For those familiar with top-tier TV, Thatcher may be recognized from Showtime’s acclaimed series “Yellowjackets”. Anticipation is high for the upcoming third season in 2025, where Thatcher’s character Nat (later played by the brilliant Juliette Lewis) will encounter further challenges as her marooned soccer team battles to endure in the wilderness.
Thatcher has been actively involved in numerous film and TV projects such as “The Book of Boba Fett” and “The Boogeyman”, while also maintaining her successful music career. In the past, she’s shared about her personal battles during the production of her latest EP. Recently, there have been questions about whether these struggles might be related to intense filming experiences like that of “Heretic”. She spoke with MovieWeb on this topic.
Thatcher shared with us that he’s drawn to more somber elements in life, reflecting in his music and art choices as well. He explained, “The films I gravitate towards often provide a cathartic experience, allowing me to momentarily immerse myself in intense emotions before shifting to something more carefree. My preferences tend to swing between extremely light-hearted and frivolous or deeply introspective and dark. Contrary to popular belief, the EP wasn’t about the trauma of Heretic. It had religious undertones, dealing with religious guilt, which seems to have been a recurring theme in it.” Experience how this narrative unfolds in the movie Heretic, currently screening at A24 cinemas.
