A Complete Unknown Stars Praise the Master Behind Bob Dylan Movie

As a movie critic with a penchant for indie films and a soft spot for talented actors, I was thoroughly captivated by Kayli Carter and Charlie Tahan’s performances in “I’ll Be Right There.” Their on-screen sibling rivalry is reminiscent of a Scorsese flick, complete with a slap that rivals the master himself.

In a conversation held during the launch of their indie dramedy “I’ll Be Right There,” stars Kayli Carter and Charlie Tahan shared insights. The movie presents them as quirky siblings to a troubled single mom, portrayed by Edie Falco. Notably, these actors are also cast in another film titled “A Complete Unknown,” which happens to be the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, with Timothée Chalamet playing the legendary singer. However, it was the director who particularly caught their attention.

As a movie aficionado, I must say it was an absolute pleasure collaborating with James Mangold on our recent project. His work has been a source of inspiration for me for quite some time now. Working with him felt like being mentored by a master craftsman, someone who’s poured countless hours into perfecting his art. You can truly sense the depth of his expertise and feel secure knowing you’re in capable hands.

I recently stepped onto the set and was struck by the fact that everyone is clearly giving their best to create something special together. As an actor, it’s a dream to work in such a supportive environment where I feel secure. Plus, the amount of effort poured into this project, especially with this script that has been around for quite some time, really shows. I can’t wait for it to be shared with audiences soon.

Tahan agreed, expressing that the experience was extraordinary and one-of-a-kind for him. He found it stunningly beautiful and is eagerly anticipating its release.

Slapping Charlie Tahan & Loving Edie Falco

During that time, Tahan and Carter are noticeably stealing the limelight in “I’ll Be Right There“, especially their shared scenes. Tahan joked to Carter, “I must admit, when you gave me that slap, it was quite entertaining!” To which Carter replied, “I could tell you really wanted me to lay it on thick.” They were reminiscing about a humorous argument scene from the film. “There was definitely an exchange of words and agreement beforehand,” Tahan explained, “but yes, he did ask me to give him that slap.

The first time I saw that scene, I watched it with my significant other who commented, “That was a well-executed slap, reminiscent of a Scorsese masterpiece.” It was arguably one of the kindest compliments I’ve ever received.

Carter, portraying the daughter of Edie Falco’s main character, likewise shared her delight over collaborating with the Emmy-winning actress from The Sopranos.

It’s almost inconceivable to me that Edie Falco doesn’t get along with anyone. She seems like the kind of person who could effortlessly connect with anyone on Earth. She’s simply an extraordinary woman, radiating warmth, generosity, and willingness to share her time and experiences with others.

If Tahan appears familiar to you, fans of the popular Netflix series Ozark might recall his notable performance from the critically acclaimed show. As he shared with us, “That spanned about four or five years of my life… I often refer to that as my college experience.” He started working on that project when he was 18 and maintains contact with many of his colleagues.
