As a seasoned gamer who’s navigated countless virtual worlds, I can confidently say that the real-life drama unfolding between Candace Cameron Bure and Maksim Chmerkovskiy is as captivating as any high-stakes quest. The prospect of these two powerhouses joining forces in a Christmas movie has me hooked, and I’m not just talking about their dance moves here!

As autumn approaches, we’re nearing the time for holidays and movie marathons. I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming lineup from networks like GAF, Hallmark, and others on their 2024 TV schedule, especially with the delightful pairings they bring. For instance, Candace Cameron Bure is preparing for her Christmas movie releases, and I can hardly wait to see what she’s cooking up. Interestingly, a former professional dancer from “Dancing With the Stars” has expressed interest in collaborating with her on a future film, and I must admit, that idea intrigues me quite a bit.

Since Bure moved from Hallmark to GAF, she’s been hard at work, cementing her place at her new network and living her dream of making faith-centered movies. That means she’s making sure that GAF’s Christmas lineup, which was just revealed, is filled to the brim. However, after Bure shared the happy news on her Instagram, long-time Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy couldn’t help but ask in the comments if he could be in her next project:

I never pictured Chmerkovskiy doing a Christmas movie, but now that he’s expressed interest, I need it. 

In 2014, Bure participated on “Dancing With the Stars,” but she wasn’t paired with Chmerkovskiy. However, it appears they have stayed connected since then. Both of them made it to the final round that year. Chmerkovskiy emerged as the winner partnered with Meryl Davis, while Bure finished third alongside Mark Ballas.

If they were to collaborate on a movie focusing on dancing, it would present an opportunity for them to act as dance partners.

It should also be pointed out that while Maksim Chmerkovskiy is a dancer, he can also act. He actually cameoed on Fuller House, appearing in two episodes alongside Candace Cameron Bure. He also was in episodes of Why Women Kill, Chasing Life, General Hospital, and The Exes, among a few others. So, I can see him doing a Christmas movie, and having it be with Bure would be even better.

It’s never too early to start thinking about the Christmas slate for next year, even if this year’s hasn’t even started yet. Filming for those movies starts pretty early, so it’s likely ideas are already being thrown around the writers’ room. Since the DWTS pro wants to be in the next one, and Bure would probably be down to do it, it’s always a possibility. It might just have to depend on the storyline and schedules, but hopefully, we’ll get to see them on screen together!

Over the coming period, both GAF and Hallmark have an exciting lineup of upcoming movies to anticipate, with their holiday seasons promising to be busy ones.
