Founded by Kyle Julian Skye of Middleman Store and Max Feldmann, a former Fred Segal men’s buyer, Wild West Social House is a unique blend of retail store and social club. Members can shop for clothing, footwear, and accessories, while also enjoying the venue for meetings, happy hours, casual gatherings, or evening events. Popular with trendsetting stylists and celebrities, Wild West initially started in a smaller location off Sunset Boulevard last year, but soon moved to its current Robertson Avenue space in September after rapid growth.
The fresh venue offers two pristinely arranged floors filled with stylish racks, a private fitting area, meeting rooms, open workspaces, a billiards room, a spacious patio, and they aim to include a bar and dining areas in the future. Skye and Feldmann anticipate that peak seasons like award shows will be bustling times for them, as Feldmann points out. However, the proprietors emphasize that Wild West has attracted not only A-list celebrities but also everyday consumers and fashion enthusiasts.

He further clarifies that this approach provides people with the opportunity to maintain the experience of a special shopping day at a boutique, while ensuring that the items are delivered in a manner that caters to today’s consumer preferences.
At Wild West, you’ll find an extensive collection of clothing items, divided into sections for male and female fashion, although the owners emphasize that most of their pieces are versatile and suitable for all genders nowadays. Users can choose from a variety of items such as designer dresses, handbags, jewelry, casual denims, leather jackets, and vintage band t-shirts. The customer base varies widely, from fashion stylists sourcing looks for red carpet events and photo shoots, to actors aiming for stylish appearances at auditions, to busy professionals who appreciate the convenience of having someone manage their weekly wardrobe. The premium membership costs $999/month, granting members the ability to rent as many as 15 items simultaneously without any limit on value. Skye remarks, “The first view of the colorful stained glass windows and ornate, painted ceilings left Max and me speechless. Since then, we’ve grown accustomed to the quirks of the place (he even jokes it’s definitely haunted). Yet, that’s precisely what we were missing.
Skye goes on, ‘The history of this building is deeply ingrained in its current existence, much like how our clothing items are to us.’ These items have journeyed through decades before settling here among our collection, passing through numerous owners and wardrobes. It seems fitting that they now reside in a place as richly experienced and aesthetically pleasing as ours.
According to Skye, the reason celebrities and style enthusiasts have been drawn to the club is straightforward: “We hold high regard for the legendary retail stores and design houses of yesteryears,” he explains, “but we’re disheartened by what fashion shopping has evolved into. We believe strongly that all the clothing the world needs, already exists.
