A Woman Being Arrested At Disneyland Is Going Viral. Here's What Happened

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in virtual worlds, I can tell you that no game, not even Disneyland, is without its glitches and hidden rules. This incident at Disney California Adventure was far from a bug, but rather a harsh reminder of the real-world consequences of breaking the rules.

At Disneyland, it’s usually considered the happiest spot on the planet, with days spent savoring delicious food or experiencing top-notch attractions at California Adventure. However, this past week didn’t turn out that way for a woman and her two young children, as the woman was apprehended within Disney California Adventure. A video of the incident has been circulating widely, primarily due to the distressing sounds of the children crying and shouting as their mother is cuffed.

Multiple videos on TikTok have become popular, depicting a woman being questioned by police officers and subsequently taken into custody. Contrary to the joyful atmosphere usually found at Disneyland, this situation is far from it. The most distressing aspect is undoubtedly the sound of children crying, yet these young ones are said to be directly involved in the incident reported.

As reported by KTLA, the police in Anaheim took a woman into custody due to her refusal to provide identification. The situation escalated as the woman had not purchased tickets for her young children, stating that they were both under three years old. According to Park Journey, when questioned about their ages, she forcefully passed through the turnstiles, and this isn’t a new behavior for this particular woman.

At Disneyland, children under the age of three enter for free, and it’s no secret that some parents bend or outright ignore this rule to save money on tickets. Some have been known to claim their older children are actually younger than they are, while others go to great lengths to get their kids into the park without paying. In most cases, Cast Members seem to overlook these instances. It’s a common belief that any child in a stroller is granted free entry, but this policy seems to not apply to children who have outgrown their strollers.

At the entrance of the park, Cast Members took care to avoid causing disturbances or holding up other guests as much as possible. However, an incident occurred that required Disneyland security and the Anaheim Police (who have a station at the resort) to intervene. They eventually found the woman within the park, where she allegedly refused to provide officers with her identification. This is what the video shows transpiring.

The situation is deeply distressing, primarily due to the children’s apparent confusion about the circumstances. They seem scared beyond measure once their mother is cuffed. A widely shared video also captures them crying for assistance as their mother is escorted out of the park.

As a devoted fan, I found myself in an unexpected situation where Mom was questioned by the authorities for hindering an officer and declining to reveal her identification. She was detained, issued a citation, and subsequently released. It remains unclear if she’s been barred from Disneyland, though given the circumstances, it seems plausible that such a restriction might be imposed. It’s common knowledge that any infractions of the law within the park typically result in being banned.

Although it appears bleak, it’s hard to envision a different outcome given the circumstances. Not purchasing tickets and refusing to work with law enforcement can only lead down one path. Arrests for jumping turnstiles at Disneyland aren’t uncommon, and this isn’t an exception. Disneyland is set to install new entrance gates by the end of this year, which might help reduce such incidents in the future.
