Aamir Khan is NOT involved in his nephew Imran Khan’s comeback project in any capacity; Latest REPORT spills more details

As a fervent admirer of the dynamic world of Bollywood, I have always been captivated by the enigmatic journey of Imran Khan – from his electrifying debut in “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” to his mesmerizing performances in various films that followed. The news of his comeback after a hiatus of nearly a decade has filled me with an indescribable sense of anticipation.

Imran Khan is gearing up for a return to acting after almost ten years, with the project still at its early stages. Recently, there have been rumors suggesting his uncle, Aamir Khan, would produce this comeback project, but a recent article by HT City contradicts these reports. The article confirms that Aamir is not involved in any way with the web series that Imran may be starring in.

The source disclosed that Danish Aslam has penned a script, and he, Imran, and another mutual friend plan to produce it. Aamir has no role in this return project. They’ve pitched the project to a streaming platform, which appears interested based on the initial pitch alone as there’s no complete screenplay available yet. No agreement has been finalized; that happens only after the screenplay is approved.

Imran Khan first appeared on the big screen with the 2008 film “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na,” which was financed by Aamir Khan and turned out to be a huge success at the box office. Later, he acted in various movies such as Kidnap, Luck, I Hate Luv Storys, Break Ke Baad, Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara!, and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.

Imran Khan’s most recent major film role was in Katti Batti (2015). His upcoming movie, which promises to be similar to his past heartwarming films, is currently slated for release. However, HT City’s source noted that since plans can sometimes change, the project is not yet confirmed as Imran and his co-producers are keeping quiet about it. Until the details are finalized, the film won’t begin production this year.

Originally, Imran had planned his return to acting through a spy series on Disney+ Hotstar, where he was going to portray an intelligence officer. This project, developed by Abbas Tyrewala, unfortunately did not move forward following the Jio acquisition by Hotstar last year. In an interview with Film Companion, Imran expressed relief that the role didn’t materialize, stating he prefers characters who resolve conflicts without relying on a gun.
