ABC Sets Fall Rollout for ‘High Potential,’ ‘Abbott Elementary’ and More Series

I’m thrilled to share that ABC has announced the kickoff dates for their 2025-26 TV season lineup! Get ready for the premieres of shows like “High Potential” and “Abbott Elementary,” along with two new installments of “911.” These exciting series will roll out over the coming weeks. Can’t wait to tune in!

The autumn schedule of the network remains largely consistent, as popular shows such as Monday Night Football, Dancing With the Stars, and 911 maintain their positions from last season. However, there’s an interesting modification: Abbott Elementary, ABC’s only comedy in the fall lineup of 2024, won’t be broadcasting solo anymore. Instead, it will team up with Shifting Gears on Wednesday evenings, starting October 1.

The popular shows, “Dancing With the Stars” and “High Potential,” which were last season’s most-watched new series, will kick off ABC’s entertainment lineup on September 16, returning to their usual Tuesday time slots. On Wednesday, September 24, two fresh programs will premiere: “The Golden Bachelor” and a relocated “Shark Tank.” Initially, “The Golden Bachelor” will air for two hours before shifting to its regular 9 p.m. slot the following week to accommodate the comedy block of “Shifting Gears-Abbott.” Starting September 26, “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” will replace “Shark Tank” in its Friday time slot.

On Thursdays starting October 16th, ABC will air the shows 911, 911: Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy, in that order. Meanwhile, other shows such as American Idol, The Bachelor, The Rookie, Will Trent, and the new version of Scrubs are scheduled to premiere in 2026.

Here are the premiere dates for ABC shows, all times being Eastern Time / Pacific Time unless specified otherwise. New series are marked with an asterisk.
