Abyss of Dungeons kicks off Season 4 with Inferno difficulty and Casual mode

  • Pre-season #4 runs from June 11th to August 8th
  • New Inferno difficulty in the Forgotten Castle
  • Casual mode now features PvE gameplay

If you recognize the name Abyss of Dungeons, it’s likely because it was formerly called Dark and Darker Mobile. After the rebranding, this dungeon-exploring role-playing game has been progressively growing, with the most recent update introducing Pre-season #4 – the most daring one so far.

On June 11th, the US and Canadian versions of Abyss of Dungeons receive their v0.13 update. This upgrade increases the challenge with the introduction of new difficulty settings, advancement mechanisms, and refinements that cater to both adrenaline junkies and casual explorers alike.

The most significant change in the Forgotten Castle is the introduction of the Inferno level, which was previously accessible only through a portal of Hell difficulty. Now, it can be chosen directly. The Inferno level offers relentless enemies, intricate mechanics, and rewards that make overcoming its challenges highly rewarding. If you’re seeking a formidable challenge, this is the place for you.

If you prefer to avoid player versus player tension, the new Casual Mode provides an exclusive player versus environment experience as you navigate through the chaos. Although the rewards may be slightly less, you can freely explore, gather loot, and survive without fear of unexpected attacks from other players.

Nowadays, there’s a wider range of options available. The designs of Nightmare and Hell dungeons change with each playthrough, forcing you to adapt quickly as you progress. Additionally, new and veteran players will receive a 7-day protective buff for their gear in Normal, Hard, and Nightmare difficulties, safeguarding it even when escapes fail.

Here are some to give you a head start!

For competitive players, there are still plenty of opportunities to shine. Weekly tournaments, Mission Road challenges, and Hot Time events provide limited-time rewards and motivations to keep up the skills. Additionally, a recap system for deaths, more intelligent team indicators, and a sleeker user interface are among various enhancements aimed at improving overall experience.

In the fourth pre-season phase, which lasts till August 8th, you’ll have ample opportunity to cash in all those Season Coins you’ve worked so diligently to accumulate.
