On July 14, 2025, it was announced that ACQUIRE Corp, one of Japan’s most esteemed game studios, would be partnering with Red Dunes Games, a rising star in the UAE game publishing and development industry. Together, they plan to jointly create at least three original intellectual properties, tentatively named Project Tremor, Project Umbra, and Project Shadowcar.
These are just the initial set of games currently being created, each centered around distinct themes like “giant monster battles,” “dark fantasy hunts,” and “spy-filled suspense stories.” As of now, there’s no specific release date for these titles, but they are guaranteed to debut on PC and all popular gaming platforms, with worldwide distribution, multiple language options, and grand unveilings at prestigious events like the Tokyo Game Show.
ACQUIRE Corporation, renowned for creating genre-defining games like Way of the Samurai, Tenchu, and Akiba’s Trip, has been a stalwart in the Japanese gaming industry. This collaboration represents a major leap towards international co-productions as it is the first premium game development joint venture between the UAE and Japan.
Red Dunes Games is proud to collaborate with the esteemed ACQUIRE studio, known for its rich artistic history, as we jointly create the upcoming generation of unique video games. This partnership underscores our conviction that the future of gaming involves international cooperation, where narratives transcend boundaries, and creativity flourishes without regard for geographical boundaries, as expressed by Sultan Darmaki, CEO and Creative Director of Red Dunes Games.

Securing this co-development deal is a significant milestone in our journey, paving the way for even greater impact on the global gaming scene.
In the role of ACQUIRE, a studio that has consistently appreciated Japanese creativity within game development, we are excited to collaborate with Red Dunes Games on an exciting global venture… We have always admired the power of originality. Now, with Red Dunes, we’re crafting something truly global and diverse,” expressed Takuma Endo, CEO of ACQUIRE Corp.
The Tokyo Game Show is set to kick off on September 25, 2025, which means we’ll likely uncover additional information about these video games. Fingers crossed for some tantalizing sneak peeks or trailers at the event itself!
