There’s been a lot of buzz among viewers as Adam Levine gets ready to rejoin ‘The Voice’ for Season 27, with the Blind Auditions drawing to a close on the 2025 TV schedule. Known for hits like “She Will Be Loved,” Levine shares a good rapport with his fellow coaches John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini, and Michael Bublé (they even chat in a group!). However, it seems there’s one issue that Levine isn’t too pleased about, and unsurprisingly, it revolves around his longtime rival Blake Shelton.

It’s delightful watching Adam Levine connect with fellow coaches on The Voice, but there’s a piece of me yearning for the playful banter between him and Blake Shelton during their early seasons. Although Shelton is no longer a part of the show, he’s still firing shots from the sidelines. Levine showed that some habits are tough to break when interacting with Kelsea Ballerini during the February 24 episode. Blake’s words certainly got under my skin. He painted Adam as a tough and sometimes harsh individual, describing him as competitive and relentless. However, he couldn’t have been more off the mark. In truth, you are incredibly kind and delightful.

Initially, it’s quite amusing to ponder over the idea of Blake Shelton expressing such a sentiment towards Kelsea Ballerini in any genuine context. Apparently, Adam Levine shared this sentiment. He graciously accepted her compliment but expressed doubt that Shelton was being sincere. He put it this way: “It’s hard to believe Shelton truly meant that.

It seems to me that Blake might have been treating you harshly or unfairly, much like hazing. To put it simply, he’s not very kind. He doesn’t exhibit qualities of a good person. If he appears friendly towards you, I fear it could be a facade.

Initially, Adam Levine implied that Blake Shelton might not criticize him harshly, but later on, his humor took a turn where he playfully accused the country artist of being less than virtuous. In the lead-up to filming, Levine expressed similar feelings, even teasing Shelton by stating that the highlight of returning for Season 27 was avoiding him.
