Adam Sandler shared that his family had been hopeful about the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce right from the beginning.
In a chat on their podcast, “New Heights,” Travis Kelce and his brother Jason revealed that Sandler had accompanied his daughters to watch Taylor Swift’s concert movie from her “Eras Tour” in LA.
“Incidentally,” Sandler exclaimed with enthusiasm as Kelce smiled broadly, “she’s something else, truly special! She holds a significant place in our home. Interestingly, his daughters have been fans of hers since they were tiny, and so am I.”
“Taylor, within our home, [my children] were familiar with every song and every lyric,” Sandler continued. “I enjoy hearing her music in the car. I appreciate her messages and melodies; the way they’re crafted, how she embodied coolness, the impact she had on young girls, the influence she holds for women, and the inspiration she provides to men making positive life choices.”
He remembered back to when Kelce and Swift began dating, as his family was overjoyed. “Oh boy, did my family exclaim, ‘Yes! Look how well they match. Look at him being such a gentleman, and her enjoying herself with him so much,'” he shared. “It’s like, every time Taylor laughs with you, my entire family is giving each other high-fives.”
“So good, man. You’ve got me sweating over here,” responded Kelce.
Sandler confessed that when someone asks him about the celebrities who make him anxious, he mentions Swift. This is because he doesn’t want to “mess things up for my children by saying something foolish.”
The renowned comedian’s admiration for the NFL player extends beyond their mutual association with Taylor Swift. Recently, Sandler announced that Kelce will appear in the upcoming sequel to “Happy Gilmore.” On his podcast, Sandler disclosed additional details about Kelce’s involvement in the film. “Travis,” he hinted, “we’re going to have a blast because the scene you’re doing is alongside numerous talented golfers. It’s going to be fantastic. You’re going to be hilarious.”
