Adele Confirms She’s Taking a “Big Break,” Has No Plans for New Music

As a devoted fan of Adele, I can’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for her as I read about her exhaustion and longing for anonymity following her Las Vegas residency. Her dedication to her craft is evident in her commitment to delivering powerful performances, but it’s heartbreaking to hear her express the toll it takes on her personal life.

Following her Las Vegas residency, Adele is ready for a break.

Before her extended stay in Munich, Adele was interviewed by German station ZDF. They asked if she intended to release a new album soon, following up on her 2021 record, “30.” Adele replied that she felt drained after her long series of performances, an emotionally charged experience that left her with little energy left.

“She assured us she’s got no plans whatsoever for new music. After her recent busy schedule, she yearns for a substantial rest and intends to explore other creative avenues for a while. Interestingly enough, Adele shared that she hardly ever sings at home.”

Previously, Adele had informed her fans that they should expect a significant delay before the release of her fifth album. According to Consequence, during a “Weekends with Adele” show in Las Vegas last January, she expressed her doubt that she would compose a new album soon.

Adele kept quiet about her plans for other creative projects in 2023, but a report by Forbes revealed that she had successfully applied for a U.K. trademark for The Shelbourne Collective Limited. This business fell under the classification of “specialized design activities” (labeled as 74100).

In an interview elsewhere, I shared my feelings about fame honestly. I confessed that I don’t enjoy being famous. Don’t get me wrong, creating music and having people connect with it is an incredible experience. But the limelight aspect of fame, I can’t stand it. I long for the simplicity and anonymity of my old life before this celebrity status.

A Grammy-winning artist’s popularity is so high that Munich constructed a temporary stadium for her to perform at during her 10-show residency, which is happening throughout August. Adele revealed this news on Instagram in late January and expressed her excitement about the opportunity to play these exclusive concerts.

I couldn’t help but be intrigued and explore further this unique proposition – a custom-built pop-up stadium for my chosen show, conveniently located in Europe, specifically Munich. The idea seemed a tad unexpected, yet incredibly enticing.
