As a die-hard fan of Aditya Roy Kapur, I am absolutely thrilled about his upcoming movie, Metro… In Dino! Ever since I saw him steal my heart in Aashiqui 2, I’ve been eagerly awaiting his next big role, and this one seems like it’s going to be a game-changer. The fact that the shoot has been completed and it’s ready for release in November has me counting down the days!
Actor Aditya Roy Kapur is gearing up for his upcoming film “Metro…In Dino,” set to hit theaters in November. Directed by Anurag Basu, this movie serves as a standalone sequel to the 2007 film “Life in a Metro.” Kapur has expressed great enthusiasm about this project, as he shared with India Today that filming has wrapped up and it’s all set for release.
As a devoted fan, let me share my enthusiasm: I can hardly contain my excitement over that upcoming movie! It’s one production I simply can’t wait to see. In the same interview, the actor was asked about his pre-movie routines, and he revealed an intriguing practice: “Before the cameras start rolling, I ensure thorough preparation for my role. Apart from that, I don’t adhere to any specific rituals.”
The Metro… Dino, initially planned for a September premiere, will now be shown in cinemas on November 29 this year. This romantic tale features Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sensharma, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Pankaj Tripathi among its star-studded cast. The film boasts music by Pritam, and is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu.
As a devoted admirer, I’m excited to share that MetroInDino is set to captivate us with stories of love in the city, showcasing contemporary couples. Brace yourself for an extraordinary exploration into urban romance, unlike any we’ve experienced before! This narrative may echo elements from their debut production, Life in a Metro (2007), but rest assured, there’s a fresh take on it. I can’t wait to see the stellar cast that graced its predecessor, including Irrfan Khan, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Sharman Joshi, Konkona Sensharma, Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, and Shilpa Shetty, among others.
The film was uniquely crafted, showcasing an innovative approach with nine principal characters intertwining the plotline without any clear connections among them. This daring decision by the writers paid off, resulting in “Life in a Metro” surprising audiences and becoming a hidden gem.
Aditya Roy Kapur initially found his footing in the entertainment industry as a Video Jockey for well-known programs and events. During a recent interview with India Today, he was queried about what he most yearns for from those times, to which he replied, “I really miss my hair from that period. I loved that job because it allowed me to encounter many intriguing individuals and travel extensively. In essence, I miss the thrill of doing varied things constantly. However, as an actor, there’s always something new to explore, so perhaps it’s not all bad.”
Following the success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in 2013, Aditya has been involved in numerous film releases, yet many barely managed to recover their investment. While some earned him notable critical acclaim, none from the past ten years had a fruitful run at the box office. Fans of Kapur are quite hopeful about Metro, as the movie appears to be on track in terms of production under Dino’s supervision.
As a devoted follower, I’d like to highlight that Aditya’s digital debut was undeniably a triumph. At the age of 38, he made his mark in the Over-The-Top (OTT) world with Disney+ Hotstar’s crime thriller, The Night Manager, which garnered him widespread acclaim. This series, a remake of the British television show by the same name, boasted an impressive cast including Anil Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome, Ravi Behl, and Saswata Chatterjee in pivotal roles.
