‘Adolescence’ Has Now Passed All ‘Bridgerton’ Seasons on Netflix’s Top 10 All-Time Rankings

Adolescence just went through a huge growth spurt.

Last week, a U.K. limited-series moved up from the ninth spot on Netflix’s Most Popular English TV list to the fourth position, as announced by Netflix on Tuesday. This series surpassed seasons one and three of Bridgerton, The Queen’s Gambit, Fool Me Once, and season one of The Night Agent in this ranking.

Teen drama “Adolescence” has only been out for a little over a month and it’s already garnered more than 114 million views. Out of those total views, an impressive 17.8 million were accumulated just last week, which once again places “Adolescence” at the top spot.

A noteworthy development that’s proving beneficial: The streaming of “Adolescence” is now accessible in secondary schools throughout the U.K.

The narrative unfolds around a family’s life-altering events as 13-year-old Jamie Miller (played by Owen Cooper) is accused of murdering a classmate. Stephen Graham portrays Eddie Miller, Jamie’s father and his legal representative during police investigations. Ashley Walters takes on the role of Detective Inspector Luke Bascombe, while Erin Doherty plays Briony Ariston, the psychologist assigned to examine Jamie in this gripping drama.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to find myself looking forward to the return of their creative partnership. The upcoming limited series brings together Graham and Philip Barantini, who earlier teamed up for the captivating feature film “Boiling Point.

The television series “Adolescence” is authored by Graham and Jack Thorne (known for “The Swimmers” and “Joy”). The executive producers are Mark Herbert and Emily Feller from Warp Films, Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters from Matriarch Productions, Jack Thorne from One Shoe Films, Philip Barantini from It’s All Made Up Productions, and Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, and Nina Wolarsky from Plan B Entertainment.

Carina Sposato, also known as Plan B, Peter Balm, and Niall Shamma from Warp Films are jointly functioning as co-producers; Jo Johnson takes on the role of producer.
