As summer rolls in, it may occasionally feel like a relief to seek refuge beneath the ground and escape the sun. In the latest season of AFK Journey, titled Echoes of Dissent, that’s exactly what you can do! However, keep in mind that the difficulties below ground are just as challenging as those you faced above.

Echoes of Dissent leads Merlin to Brimstone Village to examine growing conflicts. However, events rapidly deteriorate as the subterranean elven realm of Sal’Thorin faces a crisis – its divine dew supply is dwindling, causing its residents to gradually transform into grotesque creatures if nothing is done.

Luckily, you’ll be assisted by two new crucial characters! Zanie, a dwarvish inventor with a talent for creating mechanical companions, will be one of them. The second is Indris, captain of the Sal’Thorin Guard. However, his doubts could potentially lead him to join forces with Merlin and their allies.


Dwarves are natural sprinters, very dangerous over short distances

As a gamer, I must admit that the introduction of elves in this update might not be my cup of tea, given my affinity for dwarven characters. However, it’s hard to complain when the update brings such a rich and diverse content. Newcomers like Zanie, Indris, Valara, Daimon, and Kulu are sure to liven up our team dynamics!

Lastly, but certainly not least important, is the Sunlit Showdown, a 1v1 elimination tournament. You’ll join the arena (without any progression carryover) to challenge your heroes across three levels of difficulty that will leave even veteran players on their toes. There are six rounds in total, and at the end, you’ll be rewarded with valuable loot!
