After Alleged It Ends With Us Drama, Justin Baldoni Talks About Receiving Support From Gina Rodriguez

As a long-time fan of both Justin Baldoni and Gina Rodriguez, I have to say that their friendship is truly heartwarming. Their bond, forged during the five seasons of “Jane the Virgin,” seems to have transcended the boundaries of on-screen relationships and has become something much deeper. It’s like they are family, and it’s beautiful to see them support each other through thick and thin.

Despite ongoing rumors and speculation about Justin Baldoni’s relationship with Blake Lively in relation to the film “It Ends With Us,” it appears that his bond with co-stars from other notable projects is thriving. Notably, following the announcement of his upcoming film release schedule in 2024, Gina Rodriguez – a co-star from “Jane the Virgin” – publicly expressed her strong support for him, suggesting positive relationships on set.

How Gina Rodriguez Showed Support For Justin Baldoni After It Ends With Us Came Out

On September 12, approximately a month after gossip about Baldoni and Lively surfaced alongside the release of reviews for “It Ends With Us,” Gina Rodriguez shared her thoughts on her long-time co-star with People. She expressed her deep affection for him, and she did so in a sweet manner by stating:

Justin is a sweet, sweet soul. Man, he’s a sweetie pie. That guy is — that’s my brother forever. Forever and ever.

For five seasons, the actors portrayed Jane Villanueva and Rafael Solano in the television show “Jane the Virgin.” In this series, their characters had a child after an unintentional artificial insemination involving Rafael’s sperm, which led to an engaging and delightful on-and-off romantic journey. The actors displayed remarkable chemistry throughout the show, and they have maintained a strong friendship since it concluded in 2019.

She mentioned that the director of “It Ends With Us” is one of her dearest friends from the “Jane the Virgin” cast with whom she maintains the most consistent communication. Although she does chat with other cast members such as Yael Grobglas (Petra) and Brett Dier (Michael), it’s Baldoni with whom she converses the most frequently.

Later on, she concluded her remarks regarding him by emphasizing that the actor/director feels akin to her as family. Since then, Justin Baldoni has reacted to this heartfelt statement which emerged amidst a challenging period.

Justin Baldoni Reflects On The Sweet Message From His Jane The Virgin Co-Star

As a gamer, I’ve been keeping tabs on the buzz surrounding the movie that Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively are in together. So far, neither of them has publicly commented on the rumors swirling around their project. However, during an interview with People, their co-star Brandon Sklenar has been the one addressing the chatter. Recently, when asked about Rodriguez’s remarks that were made public amidst all the other news about the film, he replied.

Actually, that was quite timely and it held significant value for me. She truly offered support when I needed it most. It was incredibly thoughtful of her.

Like Rodriguez, Baldoni said his co-star is like “family” to him, explaining:

That was really sweet. She’s a sweetheart. She’s family forever.

It’s unclear whether her statement or this one was influenced by discussions about “It Ends With Us” and speculations such as rumors about a second edit and changes to a crucial scene, among others. But, the timing aligns with when these events were taking place.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but keep raving about my TV spouse. I truly hope we get another chance to collaborate on a project together soon. If possible, I would love for her to be the one at the helm, directing the project. That would make it even more special!

I’m really keen on collaborating with her. She has an incredible skillset. I’m eagerly anticipating the opportunity for it to be a project she’ll direct, as her directional abilities are simply remarkable, making me excited about the prospect of working under her guidance.

Baldoni has directed numerous films, among them “It Ends With Us”, while Rodriguez has overseen several episodes of “Jane the Virgin” and other series like “Diary of a Future President” and “Good Sam”. Given their extensive experience both in front of and behind the camera, it would be delightful to witness another collaboration between them on a significant project.

It’s a pleasure to observe their mutual support, and I’m eager for their future collaborations. In the meantime, consider watching or renting Baldoni’s film, “It Ends With Us,” available on Amazon. Also, keep an eye out for Gina Rodriguez in the upcoming season of ABC’s “Will Trent” when it begins airing according to the 2025 TV schedule.
