AGC Studios’ Stuart Ford, Anton’s Sébastien Raybaud to Keynote at American Film Market

As a seasoned gamer of the cinematic world, I find myself thrilled at the prospect of the 45th American Film Market (AFM) taking place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas from Nov. 5 to 10. The opportunity to witness industry leaders like Stuart Ford of AGC Studios and Sebastien Raybaud of Anton in conversation is not one to be missed!

Next week, Stuart Ford (AGC Studios’ chair and CEO) and Sebastien Raybaud (founder and CEO of Anton) will have casual chats during the 45th American Film Market.

30 panels and presentations featuring industry titans will make their debut at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, during AFM’s inaugural event from November 5th to 10th. On the 7th of November, Anton Raybaud from Raybaud will have a one-on-one conversation with Scott Roxborough from The Hollywood Reporter, and on the same day, AGC Studios’ Ford will also give a speech in Vegas.

Organizers of the AFM (American Film Market) at the Independent Film & Television Alliance revealed on Wednesday that they have completely filled the exhibition area in the Palms for their inaugural Las Vegas event, with a total of 286 businesses involved in sales, production, and distribution, as well as international trade groups, film commissions, and representatives from 34 different countries.

For the first time in many years, instead of heading to my usual spot at The Loews in Santa Monica, I’m venturing out to Las Vegas for the annual film bazaar next year. After a long run in Los Angeles, this event is shaking things up and setting up shop at the Palms Casino. It’ll be quite an upgrade, with exhibitor offices, a 14-screen cinema complex, and a massive 170,000 square foot space for conferences, meetings, and events. I can hardly wait to see what the 2024 edition of AFM has in store!

A diverse range of film companies, such as A24, HanWay Films, XYZ Films, WME Independent, Altitude Film Sales, Arclight Films, Neon, Bankside Films, StudioCanal, Beta Cinema, FilmNation, Black Bear, Capstone Global, and Gaumont, are among those making their way to Vegas.

In terms of the industry, AFM will offer workshops focusing on creating locally produced films for international distribution, funding and creating socially conscious films, independent film financing amidst changing landscapes, and casting cost-effective indie productions.
