- Age of Pomodoro: Focus Timer, lets you make efficient use of your day
- Enhance your productivity and build up an empire to stand the test of time!
- Your city and civilization only grow when you work, and focus
As a seasoned gamer with a touch of ADHD and a penchant for productivity, I must say Age of Pomodoro: Focus Timer has piqued my interest like no other game-app hybrid has done before!
Focusing is hard, that’s a simple fact. You can have all the time in the world but if you can’t manage it effectively you’ll find yourself cramming it all into a couple of hours. Fortunately, there are techniques for managing that and even new releases that make it fun! This is exactly where today’s subject, Age of Pomodoro: Focus timer, comes in!
If you’re unfamiliar with the Pomodoro Technique, let me explain. Essentially, it involves working for 25 minutes straight and then taking a five-minute break. This pattern repeats itself multiple times. The name comes from the use of tomato-shaped kitchen timers, as ‘pomodoro’ means tomato in Italian. That’s the basic idea!
In the Pomodoro Era, you engage in a strategic 4x game with city-building elements, enriched by focus timers. Expanding and advancing your city involves trading, evolving, and constant effort. To keep your city thriving, you’ll need to utilize your focus time effectively and work diligently as your city expands! Pre-registration is now open, and the game is set to launch on December 9th. Get ready to dedicate your hours to nurturing the growth of your bustling metropolis!
Tomayto-tomahto
From my perspective, this concept strikes me as incredibly ingenious. On a personal note, I find it rather challenging and stressful to concentrate and effectively manage my time without experiencing pressure. Interestingly, individuals who don’t face challenges like ADHD may also find it difficult to utilize their time efficiently.
The idea of not only making a time management app that lets you use the Pomodoro technique but also enhancing it by letting you play while you’re also not playing is ingenious. And while Age of Pomodoro isn’t the first to do it, I think it’s still a welcome addition to quite a niche genre.
