Absolutely, “Happy’s Place” has avoided the cycle of TV show terminations and has been renewed for another season! Needless to say, the announcement was greeted with applause and plenty of joyful tears. Here’s a peek:

In “Happy’s Place,” we find Bobbie (McEntire), who believes she’s about to inherit her father’s entire Tennessee bar. However, she learns that he also has another daughter (Escobedo), whom he left half of the bar to as well. The two sisters, who have never met before, cross paths in the pilot episode. Throughout the season, they develop a bond and work together to find a solution for managing the bar jointly.

Although the upcoming renewal certainly brings much anticipation, let’s not forget about the Season 1 finale airing on NBC this coming Friday, February 21st. Entitled “Sister Ink,” the episode unfolds as Isabella gifts Bobbie a sister mug. Eager to reciprocate her kindness, Bobbie ponders an equally meaningful gift. However, a chain of misunderstandings ensues, leading Isabella to believe they’re planning matching tattoos instead.

Apart from boasting an intriguing plotline, the upcoming episode also promises a delightful return of a cherished cast member from the popular show “Reba” – Christopher Rich. Famous for his role as Brock Hart in the sitcom during the 2000s, Rich was a favorite among fans. In this new installment, he will portray Maverick, the tattoo artist whom Isabella and Bobbie plan to meet.

Another Reba Reunion Is Happening In The Finale

At Happy’s Place, it’s common to invite Reba’s co-stars, but this time around, Rich’s appearance feels particularly significant. Eight years ago, a stroke impacted the left side of his body, leading him to undergo rigorous rehabilitation. Despite making great progress, he eventually decided to step away from acting.

The plan was for him to stay away from television appearances, but then he was invited to be on “Happy’s Place” alongside his ex-wife and current wife. This event will signify Rich’s comeback to the small screen, and interestingly, the character he’ll portray, Maverick, is a stroke survivor, making it a more intimate role than any he’s taken on before.

Similar to numerous episodes of “Happy’s Place”, the season finale promises to be a mix of laughter and heartwarming moments, significantly amplified by Rich’s special guest role. This is one episode you might not want to skip, but if you do, fear not! You can catch it the following day with an active Peacock subscription.
