Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance Reveal Eleveated 993 Collaboration

As a connoisseur of both luxury automobiles and high-end footwear, I find myself utterly captivated by the harmonious fusion of Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche’s latest collaboration – a symphony of style that resonates deeply within my soul. The 993 Turbo project is undeniably stunning, but it’s the understated elegance of the accompanying Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 993 that truly has me swooning.

This week, Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche made quite an impact with their unveiling of the customized 993 Turbo – a luxurious blend of green and brown hues on the iconic sports car. Yet, it was another detail, cleverly hidden within the project and bearing part of the car’s name, that caught the attention of sneaker enthusiasts: an exciting new partnership between Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance for a 993 collaboration.

Though only a single image of the made-in-the-USA 993, propped on the Porsche’s butter-soft leather seats, was revealed, it provided plenty of context. Uppers feature a rich medley of suede, mesh and leather, mostly dressed in green to match the car’s exterior. However, yellow and slate grey supply some potent accents and the midsole uses bone and white tones for an elevated contrast as well. One thing that can’t be seen is if Aimé Leon Dore branding appears in its standard spots on the heel and tongue, but if past collaborations are any indication it likely does.

Currently, Aimé Leon Dore hasn’t announced when they will release their sneaker. Additionally, it seems that Porsche didn’t contribute to the design of this particular sneaker; instead, it appears to be part of an extensive Aimé Leon Dore x Porsche merchandise line. This collection is expected to arrive at their London store on November 22, coinciding with the car’s official debut, which will be displayed in the store on both November 22 and 23. Check out a sneak peek of this collaboration above, and keep an eye out for more updates as they become available.
